So in response to women (who, as another user pointed out, are the majority who oppose abortion) and men opposing abortion based on their belief a fetus is a person and it is effectively "murdering" someone, which has absolutely no relation to women and would apply the same way if males could become pregnant...

And in response to this issue that is almost entirely religious and based on the idea a fetus is a person, not an "attack on women"...

Feminist politicians deliberately and knowing try to take sexist REVENGE on men as a gender by attacking their reproductive health???!

Remind me again how feminists claim the "Patriarchy" rules everything when a feminist politician can blatantly state publicly that they are introducing a law against men to take revenge on their sex for something their sex didn't fucking do.

So that's a thing in the article. This seems like the state trying to leverage control over more of the population, using reproductive health to do it. I am not a fan of that.

In Illinois, for instance, state Rep. Kelly Cassidy (D) introduced an amendment to a bill requiring ultrasounds before a woman can get an abortion that would require men to watch an explicit video about the side-effects of erectile dysfunction drugs.

This is an excellent idea. You need to know that medication can crash your blood pressure and/or need to know your heart health before you can have the sex.

It can also make you blind or see blue. I see NOTHING wrong with doctors giving men informed consent. Seeing people buy Viagra basically after an "online consultation" makes me cringe. We need to rule out low testosterone, diabetes or other systemic problems first.

And, Missouri state Rep. Stacey Newman (D) introduced a bill that would allow a man to obtain a vasectomy only when not doing so could cause him serious injury or death.

Stacey Newman, I take it, is baby crazy.

I don't really have any issue with this. This is judicial/legislative activism, done to point out the fact that our society is placing undue restrictions on women getting access to contraceptives and abortion. The analogy to the examples they're providing for men is far from perfect, but that's not really the point, and I get that.

I think people here ought to recognize an instance of "sarcastic" activism, and not confuse it with a sincere belief that men's reproductive services need to be regulated. That is not what's going on here.
