Men and women are so scared to interact these days that we are basically living in a puritan society. Pretty much all sex and flirting has been erased from society.

My main problem with the article is about that it mentions that men are too afraid to make a move for fear of being branded “creepy”. Not just creepy, men are afraid of losing their jobs and their social circles as well as being having the label of being accused of sexual harassment that kinda label doesn’t go away so easily.

Pathetic article. Totally woman centric of course. Men aren't doing what we want. Is it our fault? Of course not. Men are just cowards afraid of a tiny think like being called a creep. So the only thing we can do about it is maybe be a little more polite about saying no.

Not "refute the hateful attack by the feminist movement".

Not "stand up against weaponized MeToo attacks"

Not "approach the man instead of insisting they always do the shit work AND now the (for men only) dangerous work"

Not "signal when women are open to being approached clearly"

No, just be a little less of an asshole about refusing, but everything the same. And why would this actually change anything? How do men know the difference between a woman who's hyped on feminist kill all men shit vs an allegedly nicer woman who read this dumb article?

And finally the title. Millennials killed it. Not feminists. Not women. Not the legislators who passed the laws. Not #MeToo.

gen z is so online oriented anyway that i don’t see this as a problem for them. for millennial men who want to flirt in person, yes. but most gen z men will just approach a girl and ask for her social media, which is generally considered acceptable, and continue the conversation online.

If we want to revive a culture where it’s okay to flirt, the onus is really on women to make it clear to men that we’re okay with being approached in public – that we’re either going to accept their offer or politely decline, not brand them as a creeper if we’re not interested. (Men, of course, also need to clearly read our signals, whether they’re signals of interest or disinterest, and be willing to go away when we say no.)

"I want to criticise and whine about the feminists making up arbitrary boundaries because it's affecting me too, but I'd also like to keep the arbitrary boundaries when it suits me". There's always a caveat.

nonsensical. granted there is no legal interference, "dating dynamics" are largely irrelevant. Personally, I'm not a fan of this western culture style, pushing people to value relationships over their own goals and aspirations. Divorce rates seem to agree with my sentiment.

I feel like a lot of people are totally oblivious to how transparent their intentions are when they approach strangers.

There's a difference between a conversation in a neutral space that leads to a romantic connection between two people and starting a conversation in order to initiate that process. The latter is very off-putting, often obvious and puts men in the position of constantly feeling deep rejection whilst women feel disrespected since it's unlikely the decision to pursue a romantic relationship with a perfect stranger was made from anything other than aesthetics.

Love at first sight isn't romantic. It's ignorant.

I'd always sooner be asked what I'm drinking out of curiosity than so I can be bought a drink, for example.

That image is meant to be about how the man is flirting by teaching her archery, but based on her form she should be the teacher. She's got everything right from the position of her drawing elbow, the hard grip over the string, the lowered bow shoulder, the bow elbow turned outwards to clear the string and it even looks like the bow hand is properly braced, or as well as you can do that part properly on a flatbow.

The people who criticize women for being too cautious like the ones in this article criticize women for not being cautious enough.

They say "Stop being so careful, he's just flirting" and then when he's not flirting they say "Why weren't you more careful?"
