Oddly, I seem to have figured it out with several girls recently.

Verbal skills are part of the attraction. It's common knowledge that women are less visual and more mind and emotion driven than men.

Talking about internet game here (not Tinder), your profile pic just has to be passable: a good opener and a well written profile creates that attraction to get them to respond (but to be realistic, you are looking at response rates in the 5% to 10% range).

I've been a lawyer and a published author so yes, I got "paid by the word" to write good shit, but women don't respond to compelling logical arguments or engrossing fiction that isn't 50 fucking Shades of Gray.

IME, within certain boundary limits of about a month or so, the chance of a first or second date bang are directly proportionate to the number of written exchanges.

If you can write a 5 year plan or marketing copy or the next installment for Reader's Digest then you have skills, but to leverage your brain and your skills you have to step sideways and game.

Chadly, confident guys come off as "witty" when they cold approach in a bar. But witty is not the same as smart. A smarter guy who has a moment to think about what he wants to say rather than being pinned down in the moment can come up with some really attractive stuff, IF HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING.

The written word gives you the temporal space to leverage your smarts and verbal skills.

And that's the problem with your argument. You experience something, assume (completely baselessly) that under the same circumstances everyone else would experience the same, then throw together a rational-ish explanation for why that is so. Something doesn't work for others the same way it did for you? You dismiss them.

Before you can "step sideways and game" or apply any of the other harebrained PUA metaphors, you first need someone to do that with. Until very recently, there literally hadn't been even one woman in my life who would be willing to have that kind of interaction with me.

I mean, come on, man. I wasn't expecting much in terms of advice, but what you're giving me here is nothing but vague metaphor. Unless you can show that there's actual substance underneath, I'm just going to assume you're no different from the most primitive PUA authors who similarly use vague metaphors without any substance.

People's pasts can be inferred from their current state to a certain degree. Certainly when someone underestimates the value of love to a human being, it can be inferred that such a person does not know what it's like to be completely deprived of it. It might rustle your jimmies that you're not as unique or as heroic as you like to see yourself, but that's just how it is. You are shaped by your past, and thus your past can be inferred from your present.

Speaking as the partner of a man who received love and affection late in life and as one who received love and affection late in life myself, love and affection are not a cure.

What "cure" are you even speaking about? I mean, if you tried to fix job dissatisfaction by getting a boyfriend, then of course you dun goofed. But that's just it - you acted like a fool. You tried to use love as a cure, as a fix for your life problems that doesn't require you to actually fix your problems. And you're projecting that others are doing the same. Which is a tall accusation to make and I would put money on most incels not being guilty of that thing you're guilty of.

I have. And that's why I'm saying it's a non-sequitur. The fact that love is valuable and you're failing to see that value, is completely unrelated to the fact that love is not a magical cure for all life's ills.
