Although I think disobeying a cop's orders is the wrong approach, it's clear that this cop wasn't in control of the situation and that's why this escalated as it did. I think these people would have exited the building quietly and a discussion could have been had if the officer's approach had been different. "Time to go" and "If you say fuck one more time" are just baseless, empty threats/provocations that are going to work against you every time. Kids don't even respond to that kind of direction.

People swear, big deal, let them swear, first of all. Second, (maybe this was before the video starts) these people are obviously not aware of why they are being made to leave the premesis, this is the point of contention, and they're unaware of what context the officer is allowed to demand their exit. The cops are supposed to facilitate not force things to happen. Plus, getting confrontational and physical with all those people around is the worst possible scenario. Good policing would be the officer clearly stating "The owners have the right to request anyone to leave, they have requested you to leave and you are legally obliged to comply or else it becomes tresspassing. If you do not leave in X minutes I will be in a position to arrest you for tresspassing. That doesn't have to happen so let's go outside and talk about it." Then once the time elapses you simply call for the required amount of backup to subdue 3 people sufficiently so that you can remove them in a controlled fashion, for the safety of yourself and the others in the business. Anyway. said in a mild tone from the very beginning I think most people would comply. Total armchair quarterbacking here but I find it hard to believe this was handled as best as it could be.
