Background: I'm a 22 year old student at a university in Canada with approximately 21,000+ students in town. I'm 6'2 have blue eyes and I weigh around 230.

What i've come to notice in the past 20 years with the increase of technology, also has made the seduction game for college students the equivalent to playing dark souls (game with the catch phrase 'you will die') blindfolded... What i'm trying to say is, with more forms of communication such as texting, facebook, twitter, instagram, pof, tinder etc. even average looking 6/10 girls have dick after them at all times of the day leaving them to be more choosy about who they select as a partner. University girls in particular are becoming increasingly impossible to approach without being closed off and staring at their phone or with headphones in at all times of the day.

I have at least 8 decent looking guy friends who aren't awkward and have a good personality at school but for the life of them can't get a girl who is equal or below them in looks and personality. Girls are all in packs of 5's at the bars and if one guy tries to even speak to them and isn't a 9 or a 10 they are instantly pulled away by a friend... For them to get a girl they would have to go gutter diving if you know what i mean... and go for 3/10's or whale looking girls.

I've had friends who have graduated and now have a steady income, still come back attempting to pick up younger girls and always strike out like never before. They have commented on the change in the way females have been acting even within the past 5 years compared to when they were in school. It seems that even if the guy is a good catch in theory, she will never be satisfied as there always looking for the next 'badass prince charming' to come sweep them off their feet.

Not only are girls in there early 20s becoming more jaded and stuck up but guys are becoming more self conscious of their body image than they ever have been in history. 80% of the guys I know at school workout, run, and make a conscious effort to have decent nutrition (#cleaneats) in an attempt to attract women. Can we say the same about guys in the 60s and 80s? Almost none of my friends parents gave a crap about working out or eating healthy and sat around drinking beer all weekend, yet they still had a steady amount of girlfriends in their youth...

Even as a tall white male who supposedly has the seduction game on "easy mode" I still strike out 95% of the time even when lowering my standards. I've had my share of FWB's and girlfriends throughout school I still feel if I was in college 20 years ago my success rate would be close to double what I have now... I know it seems like i'm being a whiny bitch preaching "the grass is greener on the other side" but based on my anecdotal evidence and of others, my only conclusion is that girls are crazier than ever. They all live in a fantasy world and think there celebrities because they have a lot of followers on twitter or instagram retweeting and liking there stuff... There are more male college virgins than ever and its infuriating to see how inflated the egos of these girls are lately. I've seen this situation play out too many times: If a guy attempts to talk to a girl they don't know it is always assumed in there head that the guy is trying to seduce her. As a result they will instantly put on a front and say rude things like "not interested!" or "I have a boyfriend!" when all the guy was doing was being friendly and making small talk. Obviously, there are people lucking out but I would say its less than 10% of guys that get 90% of the women which is a huge contrast.

Am I crazy or have others noticed a difference in the way girls have been acting in the recent years?

TLDR: With the explosion of the internet, social media, and texting girls have more choice than ever, resulting in the inflation of egos in even the most average looking girls. Moreover, men are making more of an effort to self improve themselves than ever before (exercise, diet, working out etc). Thus, seduction is increasingly hard causing more guys to be virgins than ever before.
