My policy has been "we're done, even if she gets back to me later and is interested." No sense getting angry or hurt, but I move on.

I lose respect for people who do not do what they say, or mean what they say. It's not what I'm looking for in a woman, friend, or business client. I believe in integrity and assertiveness. If I see them later, then it's cool and I'll say hi, but not take it any further than that.

And yes, I realize that with better game I will get better response and less flakes, and I work on that. But I feel like not being available later helps keep me from waiting by the proverbial phone. It encourages me to always keep looking for new people.

But maybe it's too extreme. Your thoughts?
