It at the very least showed her you are shy. Think of it this way; if you are talking to someone and they keep looking down or away would you think they are listening to you? Probably not. She initiated conversation and you basically showed you aren’t interested. I get it, your nervous, but it’s because you view women as a Goddess. They are people.

Good way to practice is having as many small talk scenarios with girls you don’t find as attractive. reason being is because you will not feel nervous and get used to it. After sometime you will find holding your gaze and conversations with more attractive girls easier

Honestly don't worry about it much. She may not even be thinking about you or that moment as much as you are obsessing over it. Maybe next time she passes by redeem yourself from this, try to start a conversation. Make an observation of what she's wearing or carrying and ask something or compliment it.
