Lmao part of it It gets easier with time Stop dwelling and go find something new even if it is solely a rebound

Everything went great! She had to return with the girls the July of 2023. The schedule is based around my work schedule, we have joint custody and I have them about 60% of the time. Very low period of my life, glad I’m out of it and back with the kids.

Gets easier with time, I used to get sick thinking about it. Try finding someone else to focus on even if it’s little flings. The flings help at first but eventually you will want an actual connection with someone. 2 years later, I couldn’t care less

After it was obvious she wasn’t coming back to the master bed room. Funny thing is she still wears her wedding band just bc it’s diamond she can wear.

Man, you spoke my life word for word. All the way down to the Wellbutrin.. I feel your struggle and feel your pain, every day feels like going through the motions, and dating I put at a halt after 1.5 of random dates and hookups. Sex, and nothing more. My longest fling was 6 months. The only things that get me through is knowing my kids rely on me. Now my ex similar to you, had a serious relationship with in 4-5 months and are still with together, do I know the guy? Nope, don’t care to if I’m be…

I have video of her growing marijuna plants at said address I can tell by the video but how the actual address. I think that counts for something

Well it is an order listed in the decree

That’s what my thought was, but either way the threats get annoying

Yes divorce has been finalized, signed a decree 4-5 months ago.
/r/Divorce_Men25/11/24 05:12 AM

Yes we are finishing up now, i don’t have to pay her child support until the girls are in ISD not a private school, and even then I only pay $500 which is a win vs the original 1650. Yes I ignore her most of the time, I sometimes fall into the trap and react or stoop to her level, but tbh when I have the girls ( twins 3) I just block her.
/r/Divorce_Men13/02/24 03:13 AM

Very true, that’s what helped me get my kids back in the first place. From January 2023 to now. Her incompetence and lying has helped me significantly

I completely forgot about this thread.. UPDATE. I have had the girls back in TX since July, everything had went back to normal for the most part. I did not go to jail on her false allegations, I have the girls about 60% of the time, I kept the house, the girls go to the private school they were in originally. I am in a complete opposite situation than I was a year ago. I appreciate the encouragement throughout that hard time. 2023 was truly a rough year, but things seemed to circle back, and end…

I am in a similar situation, I recently had sex with a women I had met through the dating app, slightly younger. The sex was decent and the conversation was as even worse. Even after all the shit my ex has put me through I still have a strong attraction to her, or who she used to that I can’t shake

If you read the original post, it states she tried twice and got denied. I also have been in the residential home, and she has left twice once to an apartment and the 2nd fleeting to her parents

If you haven’t been hospitalized or have any type of allegations of abuse / misconduct because of your diagnosis I don’t see why this would even brought up and IF it was, the judge would probably shrug their shoulders and move on. If it affects your ability to function from day to day life and has noticeably hindered your relationship with the kids, that’s another story.

Well she got denied again yesterday, she was not summoned to come back because the district judge did not make the original TRO the associate judge did, so we are having to schedule a hearing to get the possession schedule back in order. She has to now FaceTime me with the children mon/Thurs/Sat until that hearing

We had temp injunction in place until a final decree that stated she stay within the county, I won’t in February, and she appealed and has been dragging out, my efforts would be noticed hopefully
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/23 06:28 PM

We don’t have it recorded by audio, but someone is there typing the transcript
/r/Divorce_Men09/06/23 12:23 AM

Already have it, last time in court she claimed the police officer lied in the statement. Because it stated, she pulled out a knife, and then I did as well, asking for a “knife fight” which is absurd if anything🤦‍♂️. I’ve seen the body cam as well, I put the girls to bed before I left, when the police came the house was calm and she wasn’t distraught
/r/Divorce_Men08/06/23 10:51 PM
1

She has already been denied once, she appealed the decision. We got into an altercation in January, I left to diffuse the situation and she called the police hours later. So yeah it’s documented, but her story hasn’t been straight. Claiming abuse has been going on for years, and now I am dangerous to the kids, even though I did everything for them. She is trying for indefinite for and the kids
/r/Divorce_Men08/06/23 10:34 PM

Used to be two bedrooms away, not they are 1200 miles away
/r/Divorce_Men06/06/23 11:10 PM
1

Yup, will be 6 months July 7th, her council has pushed this back as far as they can. Well she has family in MI, so she thinks she need to Stay, and doesn’t feel safe in TX. It’s a joke at this point
/r/Divorce_Men06/06/23 08:13 PM
1

100% next time anything she does I will be calling the police. There is many times I could have and I didn’t because bc she is their mom. Plus she would always say “ you have past charges, who do you think they’d believe”
/r/Divorce_Men06/06/23 08:11 PM
1

Don’t have kids bro
/r/Divorce_Men06/06/23 06:44 PM

Yes I filed divorce in a TX, and we temp injunction in place until final decree. After altercation, she called police made accusation, then fled to MI asking for protective order, we have the de novo to finish coming up. About sums up the situation

My wife has is currently doing just that, we had 50/50 in place, but seeked a PO so she could flee
/r/Divorce_Men01/06/23 01:45 AM
2

I was paying 1525, and I technically had them 6 hours longer than her. (It was based around my schedule)
/r/Divorce_Men01/06/23 01:44 AM
1

I am tempted but the reason the court has even allowed is because she says she is in danger and so are they, so she wants a PO. This has been dragged out since February. She responded today saying “our attorneys talked and it says I can get custody with no child support. But 2 days out of the month and 2 weeks in the summer. I’m not a deadbeat, I don’t care about child support I care about being in the kids lives. Also she doesn’t feel comfortable unless something it signed by a judge.. this is …
/r/Divorce_Men01/06/23 01:43 AM
1

I haven’t spoken to her since January because her false allegations and her trying to get a PO(denied once already). Her goal is to try to delete me from their life and her life completely like I never existed
/r/Divorce_Men31/05/23 06:33 PM

Talked to my mother this morning, she has not received any response regarding the twins, but I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
/r/Divorce_Men31/05/23 03:45 PM

I took them to school and most of their appointments
/r/Divorce_Men31/05/23 02:46 PM

Yeah I try to stay positive and not talk ill about her to others. It’s tough though, I’m stuck here fighting to get these girls back while she leaves, finds a guy to mooch off of and there is nothing I can about it.
/r/Divorce_Men31/05/23 02:38 PM
1

Yes it’s a temp order we both agreed too and signed. That’s was in place last year when we were originally going through it, but she came back, but with didn’t alter anything

I will keep you guys updated

It was perfect tbh, but we decided to “make it work” 💀 I was fooled

Joint conservative/ 50-50 : they worked with my schedule since I pay for everything. I keep the house, she gets an apartment. The girls go to the private school, and the school gets taken out of her child support. 1525 - 1300. She would receive 225

Yep we were going through separation last year, tried to reconcile after a few months and now we are going through it again but it’s even uglier! (Big mistake) Heard from the grapevine that she wanted to leave because she wanted to go back to the “sugar baby” lifestyle. I made her get a job after being s stay home mom for 2 years(twins 2.5) so it checks out. I would joke with her in the past saying you didn’t travel out of the the states until you met me, so how were you a sugar baby🤨 You were a…

I actually got the green light for my parents to ask her if they could fly and get them for a week. If she says yes, we see the kids, if she says no it’s just shows she is withholding them. We have a temp injunction that would go back into place if she gets denied again.
/r/Divorce_Men31/05/23 12:43 AM
3

Yes, TX. I have, we have a temp injunction in place, her council has dragged this out since feb. 1st tried to get PO, got denied. Asked for drug test before the girls return, passed that, but then we had to get another hearing to get that heard. Also she appealed the PO, so we are waiting for that hearing. It’s been a long and expensive process
/r/Divorce_Men31/05/23 12:41 AM

Everything is documented, I have proof of their private school being paid even when she left and refused to take them.(lose their spot if I don’t) I have their summer setup, summer camps/ swimming lessons, and I have their speech therapy set up. She never was a help, would just attend events and pick them up for school. I know they are 2.5 but I’d rather them be out and involved in something and not stuck in front of the tv
/r/Divorce_Men30/05/23 09:13 PM

Yes, if it was the other way around our ass would be grass lol
/r/Divorce_Men29/05/23 10:31 PM

Also we went through separation last year and had joint 50/50 and after 3 months we agreed to reconcile. I see now I have made the bigger mistake of my life, letting her move back in. In hopes to have a “family”

I had a DV case from college almost 8 years ago, she was aware and also aware I am about to be off / completed. After an altercation, one similar to what we’ve had in the past, I left to diffuse the situation. However this time her sister called the police from 4 states away and when I returned home I thinking things had cooled down I was arrested. Since that night, I have went from a good dad that is involved in every aspect to a guy who has “beat her” and emotionally abused for 4 years straigh…

Luckily we had temp injunctions clearly written out agreed to, and signed by judge
/r/Divorce_Men29/05/23 10:26 PM

Very glorious, and very selfish. I am here getting the short end of the stick, but still the one who will inevitably have to pick up all the pieces
/r/Divorce_Men29/05/23 10:25 PM
2

Man keep you head up, that’s all I can say and stay busy. It’s tough, I thing the worse is at night when going to bed, and it really messes with my whole attitude towards life in general. I get up and go to work because I still have to uphold everything while she is probably getting taken care of by some random guy, and going back and forth from Her parents but even when i try to stay positive the pessimistic view eventually comes out
/r/Divorce_Men29/05/23 10:24 PM
1

It’s true, I will never forget during a argument she claimed the girls don’t need a father, and they’ll be fine without
/r/Divorce_Men29/05/23 03:59 PM
3

Yes she demanded a 12 panel hair test passed that, seems like court only cares if you fail. Lol. She called the cops and me under false pretenses, helping her get her temp protective order and now is trying to get an indefinite. Was denied in February, and then appealed it, that’s what been taking this so long.. could have been done months ago. I hope she gets denied again and has to come back with the children. Her and her new guy that’s taking care of her and trying to play stepdad will be dis…

That makes me feel a bit better, they are 2.5 now
/r/Divorce_Men29/05/23 02:58 AM

Private school, not an actual ISD
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/23 11:59 PM
1

Well it’s they’re only 2.5 years old, I enrolled them in school bc the ex would turn on coco melon and fall asleep while they run rampant
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/23 11:58 PM
3

I have an attorney, she already got denied once. Denied PO for her and the kids, and her request for me to pay her fees was denied. But then she appealed and said I did drugs so I had to grow my nails out and a do a 12 panel test. I passed.
/r/Divorce_Men24/05/23 04:21 AM
3

Yeah that’s what I’m going to ask for, and for them to move back. She claims she won’t be safe in TX, and she has family in MI which is true, but shouldn’t be an excuse. She’s 30, she needs to get a job like everyone and learn to provide. She can stay but I want my girls back
/r/Divorce_Men23/05/23 10:28 PM
2

Well I don’t speak to her, because she called the cops over some bs. My mother has asked for pics of the children, sometimes she replies sometimes she doesn’t. I have only seen her twice since the incident and that’s at court, my children not once.
/r/Divorce_Men23/05/23 10:02 PM
4

That was in the settlement proposal which is protected under some bs rule, but not to be used as evidence.. my attorney brought it up anyways, and her council had a fit. We finish June 27th and it will be combined with a pre-trial. But yeah essentially she is using the kids and the PO as leverage.
/r/Divorce_Men23/05/23 09:30 PM
1

I agree, I still catch myself thinking about her or looking at old pictures. Even after everything she has put me through and things she done to try to ruin my life in these last 6 months I still have a soft spot in my heart considering she is the mother of my kids and was once my peace.
/r/Divorce_Men22/05/23 09:37 PM
1

It’s been 120 days for me, she got denied a protective order and appealed it. It’s the only true power they hold.
/r/Divorce_Men19/05/23 10:13 PM
2

It’s over, we were going through separation last summer, got back together after 3 months. Now we are going through it again, and she has kept my kids away from me for over 120 days. Don’t let her come back.
/r/Divorce_Men19/05/23 10:11 PM
1

Just the beginning we are 6 months in! Lol and I have already turned down one of her insulting settlement proposals
/r/Divorce_Men19/05/23 05:09 PM
15

Pretty accurate. My wife left because she was tired of working and missed the lifestyle as a “sugar baby” that she once lived in her early 20’s. She turns 30 soon. I guess a house, kids, and yearly vacations out of the country just weren’t enough
/r/Divorce_Men19/05/23 05:07 PM
4

Update: I just found the GOLDEN ticket. A text thread from a 3rd party saying he could see/have the kids a few weeks ago if he would have just taken my settlement offer. Showing she’s knows I’m not a threat to the kids or endangering them. She wants her way or the highway and technically using it as leverage. We will be showing those texts next hearing
/r/Divorce_Men12/05/23 04:05 PM
3

It definitely is, I was happy she got demoted the first time, but completely in a daze today when we didn’t even finish and it got set another month out to finish up. Not even a decision yet
/r/Divorce_Men12/05/23 01:31 AM
3

Keep fighting! My ex things I will give up eventually. Not happening
/r/Divorce_Men12/05/23 12:53 AM
4

I am well aware, she has kept the kids away from got 124 days. She got denied the first time, and this is the 2nd hearing bc she appealed, but we ran out of time so they set a hearing for the remainder.. we had 10 minutes left😐 she is trying for INDEFINITE protection order for her and the kids. Just 4 months ago, I got them ready for school everyday. Private school I paid for
/r/Divorce_Men12/05/23 12:52 AM
2

We already have a TRO in place that is joint 50/50 from last years when we originally were going through divorce. We reconciled and 4 months she starts a fight and calls the police 2 hours later after I leave the house to give each other space. She is trying to get an indefinite protective order for for her and the kids. I’ve been nothing but The best dad. Says I’m a danger, but then states she left them with me over night during our last separation.( which she did with no issue) It’s a wild sit…

Yeah 750 later💀
/r/Divorce_Men04/05/23 02:04 AM
1

Eh I’m not too sure it was being taped, but the hearing lasted a little over an hour
/r/Divorce_Men03/05/23 02:03 AM
2

I am in a similar situation, however it gotten much easier. My ex wife made a false accusation to benefit her in the divorce process and try to keep my twins away from me even though I have always been an active father. I still catch my self looking at old pictures and feeling a certain way because it was a place of comfort and stability. It fades with time, but only thing that makes more difficult is we have children, so im dealing with her for atleast another 16 years
/r/Divorce_Men29/04/23 05:24 PM
1

I still like the concept of marriage, however going through a divorce off and on from last summer continuing this January I don’t think I see myself getting married again. The whole process, especially when involving property and children has made the most evil side of my estranged wife come out. Seeing a pic of her now vs pics of her in previous years when things were stable, she looks like a completely different person. Never a good feeling to see someone one held high in your life be so taint…
/r/Divorce_Men26/04/23 02:58 PM

I actually like this guy, he did really well the first hearing about the protective order(denied) and that was without any of the evidence I provided. So hopefully he does a even better job at the de novo
/r/Divorce_Men25/04/23 07:04 PM
1

Yes I have a meeting with him soon, a very expensive one. These family attorneys are no joke
/r/Divorce_Men25/04/23 07:03 PM
3

Well the TRO that was in place stated the kids stay within our county, she has taken them over 1200 miles away
/r/Divorce_Men18/04/23 07:32 PM
2

Yes that’s what I’m hoping on. Attorney has gotten the transcript to refer back to if she tries to make up another narrative, plus we came in with no evidence last time. Yeah we have a TRO In place
