TL,DR: I simply get the feeling that men don't have easy access to a pill because it would be too much control over a system that might severely affect the future of the human race or too much risk if it hinders the male sex drive. I know, like whoa, that's a big one! But think about it...

How many men would stay on the pill till they were 35-40? A lot, I'm guessing. How many accidental pregnancies (some of them being intentional accidents) would be avoided because of that, and how much would that affect the growth of the population? A lot, I'm guessing?

I don't want to get into the rhetorics of 1) which gender likes babies more, 2) how difficult and life-changing a baby is for a woman, and 3) how men already have access to condoms and should stick with that. And I already know that I'm probably making a fool of myself. But the past has proven to us that, with women controlling conception, it will happen when they're ready, sometimes with or without the consent of men (see: that story about the woman who stopped taking birth control without consent because she wanted another kid and was furious when she found out her husband had a vasectomy). And most of them will be ready at some point. A man on birth control may never be ready, and I feel like the "powers that be" are afraid of that.
