I met my SO of 7 years on the internet, and yeah it was way fucking easier because we were able to communicate without the preconception of image bias. I was pretty much in the same boat as the poster referenced above.

I agree with many points; that it is good to broaden your horizons and not be limiting yourself to the people in your area if you haven't had any luck in that field.

Where I will stop agreeing with her is the weird bit about the abusive relationships, and the man being the deciding factor in those relationships. I think a better theory would be that he attracts those kinds of women because they know that they can use him. Certain women attract very abusive men in the same respect.

Communication and compatibility are the strongest cores of a relationship, not what you're expecting to get out of it in the end. Why would she say "but if things are clicking you shouldn't wait too long to bring it up". ( it; being the desire for marriage and children)

What is this about us girls, where the end result of two people being together always has to be marriage, or kids, or both? Why can't they just focus on living their lives and not fucking WORRY about their biological clocks?

It seems like women can get away with more and more. They can be overweight and behave crazily and still get a high quality man. I know one who is obese, lives with her parents even though she is 30, was unemployed for 5 years (seriously, she could have gotten a job if she wanted to but she didn't want to stoop to service industry work), and has been on a few trips to the psych ward. She's also very feminist. Yet she got herself a boyfriend who has his own apartment and makes good money. They both have low self-esteem I think, but his has got to be lower.
