So I went to the cinema that I always go to, and noticed something that I didn't see before. The sign with the prices says: "Adults $6.50 Children $4.00 Seniors/Women/Students $4.00". I tried to take a photo but my mom (who I mentioned before is a hardore feminist) tried to take my phone from me, so I couldn't take one. Basically, I think they could have put a smaller sign that said "Men $6.50, Everyone Else $4.00". What possible logic would the theater have to put a discount on someone based on their gender? And this isn't a special offer or a "ladie's night out" thing, this is a permanent sign that has been there for I don't know how long that I just tonight decided to look at. The best part was that when I asked a male staff member about it, he told me that I could either deal with it or be "removed from the area" (his words). I will try to go back there when I get an opportunity to take a photo to share it, but I want to know what kind of blatant discrimination anyone else has experienced.
