I'm curious as to why they would offer a discount to women. The theatre isn't a business that is enjoyed primarily by men. If it were a bar I could understand (still not accept, but understand).

This is akin to having a sign that says "White people: $5.00. Black people: $4.00." Why do blacks have to pay less money? Well, they're "oppressed" of course. Or poor. Both groups would have a problem with this, as white people are unfairly charged extra, while black people are given a discount at the assumption that they're poor. It's damaging to both groups.

However, when it's ALL women getting the bonus (or in this case, just men getting the shaft) it's perfectly okay. This must be what feminism is fighting for: discounts at the theatre.

This is illegal in some states. However, my personal philosophy is that a business is free to do business with anyone it chooses, and charge what it wants for any reason whatsoever.

Adults $6.50 Children $4.00 Seniors/Women/Students $4.00

Somewhere in there is the implication that women aren't adults. Feminists should be outraged.

Please do everything you can to get a picture. I'd love to see it.
