An adult man saying that would be seen as a pedophile. But, I seriously doubt that the woman who said that is actually a pedophile. Just because women get extremely offended by certain words said against girls/women doesn't mean men should also be equally offended for the sake of "equality". Some people, especially feminists, are extremely self righteous and look for meaningless things to be offended by and I don't think it's a good idea to emulate that behavior.

That would creep me out alittle but i have heard dads say "cute" "beautiful" and in fact "sexy" to their daughter's costumes, its really how you hear it and if you really give a damn.

I don't think anyone will care over something a kid wears for one night every year.

I'd suggest the woman probably finds the kid's costume as a symbol of whatever he was dressed as... the idea of which she finds sexy... not the kid himself. E.g. if he was dressed as superman, she likes the idea of a strong, brave, kind, heroic man... not a puny boy.

If a man saw a little girl dressed as a naughty nurse, I'd suggest this would be the same - he'd probably find the idea of an actual, adult naughty nurse sexy, yet if he was stupid enough to say the same line the woman did, any woman within earshot, being stupid enough to misunderstand this, would automatically think he means the KID is sexy, instead of the idea she represents.

I don't know how people could find an undeveloped body attractive, but also far be it from me to throw stones when I have my own (multitudes) of flaws in many areas of life... but even worse, I don't know how otherwise smart women can be so damned dumb and make judgements about men based on incorrect stereotypes.

TLDR: Woman probably finds the symbol/idea the kid portrays as sexy, not the actual kid. If a man was in this situation and found the idea sexy, women would freak out.
