it's not legal, in the same way that ladies' nights are not legal.

just remember that a vast majority of people who buy a gym membership rarely end up going more than once a month, and end up actually paying MORE per visit than regular members.

side note: if you go to the gym less than 4 times a month, a lot of gyms have "day passes" that cost less than the monthly cost.

What I am going to do is start dressing up like a woman when I apply to these places.

If more men dressed up as women and infiltrated these places - dang would their businesses plummit.

People would stay away from all the weird men dressed up as women!

If anybody tries to check if I really am a woman - I'll just consider it a free hand job!

Most likely, it's more simple, but here's a legitimate economic reason for this. Some machines are more popular among women than among men (due to natural differences in body constitution). If there is not enough female gym members to cover the installation costs for these machines, lowering the subscription price for women might be a non-sexist business explanation.

It only becomes a problem for me if people get crazy about the reverse happening. I don't care if a business has 1/2 off for anybody, as long as everyone else can say half off for X group. But we know that no feminist would ever allow a place to say "1/2 off for men."

Or maybe they would allow it. My stylist works at the Men's Hair House. Feminists aren't protesting.

This is not infringing on mens rights. This is just whining. See the bars that offer no cover for women? Its because guys are horndogs and will go wherever there are women. Women in yoga pants doing squats are good for business. I love the mens rights subreddit but some of these posts lately are childish.

Why would this be illegal? A private institution should be able to charge whatever they want for their services. If they want to charge women less, they should be allowed to. Men can also join the gym and pay what the gym wants to charge them. If the men don't like the price or object to the difference in prices, they can go to a different gym. This doesn't infringe on mens' rights, its just a cool thing for women. This is just whining.
