It's mainly known for black rights litigation, like lynchings and stuff. I'd guess it has more sway with the black community?

It's a major organization, not just some little fringe group. Everyone who watches the news has heard of the SPLC, but it's nowhere near as important as say the ACLU.

One of their latest campaigns is profiling the Men's Rights movement alongside neo nazi nutters. They juxtapose political groups with extremists to try and silence them and ruin their reputations.

I do give summaries of our mod log every few months on MRMeta.

We have a mod policy and we follow it. The only people who accuse us of censorship are those who don't read and follow the mod policy.

Unfortunately, the "libertarians" (or so they like to be called) don't really understand the concept of "censorship" and instead play a lot of oppression olympics by saying "we are being censored". Every corporation has a "censorship" policy - you aren't allowed to bad mouth the company, you can be reported for extreme negativity or saying things that ruin the atmosphere of the group, etc. Is that censorship? No, because it isn't "public speech".

Is Reddit a public place? No, actually it is a private place. It is a privately owned company, and therefore is not subject to the same concept of censorship that the government is. The government is responsible to the people, rather than the reverse, which is why the government is supposed to be prevented from censoring the people.

A large portion of the American libertarian movement is composed of Christians, and Christianity is full of "censorship" (in the same sense of the word that you accuse Reddit mods of). Not all libertarians are Christian, but that doesn't change the presence of them.

What the "censorship" battles on Reddit come down to is this - people want power. They gain power by either silencing others or getting their statements read. But a lot of activities of silencing others is disruptive and childish, and it gets removed. And a lot of activities that get statements read is sensational and gets removed. So these people use the only thing left to them and they cry "censorship" in order to play oppression olympics and try to get a gold.

Don't like the moderation of a subreddit? Your option - and your only option - is to create a new subreddit or take part in a different subreddit.

Because r/MR isn't like other subreddits and posting the log would do nothing to quell these arguments. Do tell - what would you expect to see from the log? Hmm? "Ah hah, they removed thousands of comments over the past 6 months!" Yeah, we get a shitload of trolls posting ridiculous things. That is in line with the mod policy.

You would also see that there are 2-3 Jeremiah accounts banned per day. Would you focus on that, crying foul that we are banning MRAs like he does, even though he is the only person being banned in this manner and that is because of his behaviour not his point of view?

This is a silly argument. You have no idea what going through the mod log would be like, you have no idea about the mod mail discussions that go on about the mod log, and therefore you are in absolutely NO place to comment on the mod log.

Removed comments are labeled "removed", so you can feel free to go through them and see just how much silencing we are doing, ok?

Wow. I wasn't expecting such a hostile response and so much defensiveness. I thought you said earlier that you post it every few months. Are you now saying you aren't going to post it anymore? That we simple people are unable to comprehend a log? Really. You are caught in one lie right from the start when you said you released it. When pressured for a date you now say you won't release.

Are you starting to see why many members view you as a despot? You silence all critics by banning, drive off MRA that dare complain about your heavy handed approach by telling them to leave, and now refuse to show the mod logs because you have been called out repeatedly the past month for heavy handed censorship - which you deny takes place.

Another lie that you finally admit to as you now admit there is qhite a bit of censorship.

Nobody has any faith in you Ig. I understand you are a kid that is still in school and therefor has no real world experience. I know in youth we do not always see how arrogant and narcissistic we sometimes are due to immaturity.

You have now been caught in 2 flat out lies about topics that have been a center of discussion for months. What are you going to do about it.

We, your critics, haven't made you lie, you took that action yourself. We, your critics, haven't made you censor, ban, and and attack legitimate dissent, you took that action yourself. Tell us what you are going to do to correct your behavior and don't shift the blame to others as you are so fond of doing. Explain your actions or step down.

When you are called out and people use facts you respond with personal insults. I have screencapped this thread and now I guess the sub can now see that you are a liar and now a coward.

I don't hold a personal grudge against you, Ig, believe it or not. It is just frustrating to see what should be an inclusive movement fragmented by your inability to admit when you have made a mistake. You put your ego above the thousands of members here. Like I said, this is probably due to your age and lack of experience in the real world. If this were a job you would be fired for how you act and respond to criticism. You refuse any type of accountability and resort to shaming language, insults and censorship. Don't you think that is sad and an indicator of poor leadership and gross immaturity? Or, do societal norms and rules of decency not apply to you?

I know you don't know why you respond, but let me tell you why we respond. BECAUSE WE CARE ABOUT MENS RIGHTS!

Edit: I would like to point out for everyone that Ig has turned this into a political argument now. He clearly states that libertarians are not welcome. According to the last survey the libertarians make up a large portion of the sub. Here is your head mod, telling you your opinion is not welcome. What more proof do you guys need?

Release the mod logs. You are not attacked, you are called out when you lie. You are allowed your opinion, but that does not give you the right to censor and attack members - that is not what a leader does.

This outburst of immaturity that you just posted says more then the mod logs will. Unlike you I won't end on "Go fuck yourself", rather I will say that I find it terribly sad that you are incapable of mature behavior and an adult level discussion. Are you really incapable of seeing what you are doing? Read your posts. Do you not see the childlike tantrum and play ground name calling? You are incapable of any type of leadership or management decisions. I am actually starting to wonder if you have psychological issues. I don't mean that as an insult but I feel sorry for you. If you do, please PM and I will lay off you as I feel it is unfair to hold someone mentally disabled to the same standards I do adults. I ask this as a serious question so please take it that way.

My request is simple. Stop censoring opinions, stop being a bigot to Christians and people of different political stripes, and leave sub changes up to a democratic vote. Also, show transparency by releasing mod logs. I find it unbelievable that you are actually fighting these recommendations. It says everything everyone needs to know about your character and level of maturity. You don't want to give up your ability to attack (censor/ban/insult) by making it transparent. You have put yourself and your ego before the movement. In activists circles you are what is known as a traitor.

I'm sorry, but the above is a "generic insult." That means you can use it on just about anyone, and read into it what you want.

I think both parties do that, and with good reason: it works.

So you're theorizing that some marxists are going to make drama over an 'alignment' between r/mensrights and r/new_right ?

They don't fuck with r/new_right and r/splc because they are censors of truth.

Also, I removed the WN mods because I don't agree with their politics, and I did not add them to the roster in the first place.
