My meeting with the women at the Gender Resources Center did not go well. I emailed one of the women and she said they would be amenable to Men's programming at the university and that I should come in to discuss it with them.

I prepared for hours thinking of programs we could do. I made an agenda for the talk and came up with 3 pages of issues I wanted to cover and 2 pages of events to get exposure to them.

When I went in the situation was different. As soon as I sat down and started talking about what I wanted to do two harpies ambushed me(notice how there were more of them than there was of me). They decided that I should do something relating to women's rights. Or trans rights(instead of focusing on how nearly all prisoners are male, or how most rapes in prisons were male, they wanted me to do something about how trans people are treated in prisons for instance).

When I declined they started getting noticeably hostile. They kept talking about how women were oppressed and an "oppressed minority group". Several times I offered to pull my prepared stats from my bag in order to prove them wrong and several times they declined. They refused to listen to anything I had to say and repeatedly interrupted me with incorrect factoids or lies.

Eventually our meeting was over, without me getting anything I was promised.

So I have decided to form my own group on campus. Hopefully, eventually we will get equal funding as the Gender Resources Center but that will probably be a long way off.

So what I need is ideas for posters which will intrigue people and get them to come to the first meeting.

Also, someone who has some good photoshop skills and is willing to help create posters from the ideas would be very much appreciated.

The leading idea I have right now is a line about one way in which men are oppressed. For instance:

"Ever wonder why female circumcision is illegal and male circumcision is legal?

"Come find out at the first meeting of <group name> at such and such date."

or

"Ever wonder why men die 5 years earlier than women?"

or

"Ever wonder why men are drafted and women are not?"

Along with each of these there will be a picture representing what I am talking about. Kind of like memes.

tl;dr The women at the Gender Resources Center at my school are sexist. Help me create posters to start up a group focusing on Men's Rights.
