Feel your pain. Just got finished serving 6 months for not being able to afford $2,300 a month. Went for a downward mod and was told being broke, having no job and just getting out of jail are not valid reasons for a downward mod.

Wow dude, I just read your story. Thats sounds like a fucking scam to me. She already knew all the right moves to fuck you. There's really no way you could have known, but that shit is scary. Are you sure its your kid? Either way man, I hope somehow you can squeeze a drop or two of justice out of the situation.

My suggestion: Scorched Earth.

Sell all your assets and just disappear. Give them nothing. Let her twist in the wind paying for the lawyer on her own when they can't find you. I'm thinking you should be in another country, tropical, with half naked 19 year olds serving you drinks with little umbrellas in them on a warm beach somewhere. Get a job teaching English as a second language that pays peanuts, but is a livable wage until you get a handle on things and can get a real job. Live the good life until you fill of it, and if you choose to then come back to the states in a few years when things have blown over. As long as you're off the grid in the US you should be good to go.

I'm honestly surprised more guys don't go this route when faced with indentured servitude from genetic theft.

What state are you in?

Every state discriminates against men through its family court system, but some states are far worse than others.

My state, Minnesota, is actually one of the better ones. Southeastern states are generally the worst.
