That man acted completely childish, and threw a temper tantrum. He deserves what he got. Also, if the coin was flipped and it was a woman getting life in jail, I would be fine with that too. I'm a woman and I would not condone that behaviour from anyone.

EDIT3: Wow...I come in here as a woman and try to post politely and point out that I am just as disgusted with the double standards as the men are, and I get lashed out at, even though I have pointed out in my posts that I am against the terrible shit that women get away with. So you guys would all prefer that we let people who are going to snap and kill someone, just walk away from it under the guise of self-defense rather than punish them regardless of gender? Personally, I would rather see all people (women especially) punished for shit like this, rather than just letting everyone get away with it.

I never said it would excuse them. Not once. If a woman was being abused, then I feel sorry for her. If she kills the man, then all pity stops and she becomes a murderer and is sent to jail. Period. If a woman did the same thing I would also accuse her of throwing a temper tantrum. I don't see it as demeaning, more along the lines of them needing more self-control.

I have a nasty temper and I know it. I spent several years, and a lot of willpower learning to control it. This results in me now being far more able to control myself when someone pushes my buttons. If I can do it, so can other women, and other men.

We all are responsible for our own actions, women included, and we all need to learn to accept that responsibility.

Please don't take your frustrations with other women, and their lack of punishment, out on me. I am not the kind of woman you are railing against. I am done repeating myself. Have yourself a good day ~~sir.~~
