Whenever male birth control pills are completely finished, as long as they get included into it as well it won't be a problem. There's just no equivalent at the moment, which is why it's not discrimination. Aren't condoms also free from your doctors? That's the best we've got for the moment.

Eh, I'm of two minds about this.

I don't think anyone should have to pay for anyone else recreation equipment and the people who say birth control is a 'right' are beyond stupid. But also, I really don't like it when women get accidentally pregnant.

So, I'd say its worth it.

Which program are you referring to? Planned Parenthood? They receive about a third of their funding from the .gov, which in 2009 was about $360 million. [source] Not very much money, relative to the enormity of the budget.

Is that gender discrimination?

Considering they also hand out condoms – which is currently the only available form of male birth control – nope.

Who do you think is potentially impregnating these women?

The woman takes pills/has minor surgical procedures/inserts things/has greater responsibility for remembering birth control. Yeah, it's still unbalanced, but for every women taking birth control there is probably one man protected by it.

I'd seriously have loved to have not have HAD to be the one going on contraception. Incision hurt, lots of bruising, and the arm my implant is in gets occasional twinges. I have side effects because I use a hormonal birth control, too. My guy just puts his dick in me and it's all good.

TLDR; it's generally people afraid of conceiving using that birth control, and if you can conceive there's a bloody good chance one of you is a man and is also protected. You're paying for those women's partners to have a greatly reduced chance of having an unwanted kid, too. Still need a male non-barrier method, though.

It's not "women's free birth control", it's "couples' free birth control". It just so happens that we've only invented it for women so far. As far as I know, we don't have an epidemic of lesbian pregnancies, so birth control is something that applies to men and women equally.

I guess if homosexuals wanted to be really pedantic, they could say that they object to funding birth control to heterosexual couples, but they don't, because birth control is of benefit to the whole of society (apart from a lunatic fringe perhaps).

You ever seen people protest for more unwanted children in the world?

If this was a genuine program to stop unwanted pregnancies, it would come with consequences. If you take advantage of our program and still get pregnant, no child support or welfare for you. Because as it presently stands, women get to have their cake and eat it to. They get all the choice in the world, and no consequences. Only us benighted creatures called "men" are so disgusting that we actually are held accountable for anything.

This is just more pandering and bribes to women so they'll vote for the Left. Economy in the shitter due to the Left deliberately wrecking it? No problem! Just hand out more welfare to the "strong and independent" women and they'll vote for anyone you say.

And those of you who think this is going to lessen "unwanted pregnancies" are dreaming. Women, right now, have tons of birth control options available to them. Condoms are cheap and readily available. (And yes, men should be prepared with condoms on hand.) The cause of "unwanted pregnancies" is irresponsibility, or the fact that you actually want one. Neither cause is going to be helped by free birth control.

Let's get real people.
