Upvote on the principle, but who are you talking to? Do you think that women-haters and trolls are going to to reconsider their posts? It is no more helpful than putting up posters telling rapists not to rape.

For those who want to fight - downvote those without content, argue with those that do. Check out the age of the account and its comment history; if it seems like we have a real supporter of men's rights who is losing himself to irrational hate, then we should try our best to help him.

And nix on bannings or deletions. There are plenty of places for men to go to have their anger voices censored; if this place become one more then I would no longer have a reason for being here.

There are trolls and extremists here, but that isn't what caused AMR to exist. AMR was created by feminists who hate men and really are opposed to men's rights. They would still have created it even if nobody here ever said bad things.

Also a mainstream male feminist who is in his 50's called David Futrelle is involved in that school yard B/S. So it just looks bad all round for the amr crowd and the movement they are associated with.

Banning people is not the solution. Calling people out when they make intentionally hateful comments is. Unfortunately, many people here don't seem to agree with me (and probably you) on what constitutes a hateful comment. I usually get downvoted when I make even moderate suggestions about avoiding generalizations. Whatever, I can take the downvotes.

For the record, the main MR site 12 years ago did not allow generalizations and this worked to appease some mens sense of chivalary for a time. That morphed into harder sites.

Now mens reddit is starting to find it's voice.

Men are never going back to silence and the women hate it....that's why they hate generalizations, it's because they're generally true.

There is nothing we could have done to stop AMR from existing in my opinion. The moderators who created it, hailing from subs such as /r/anarchism, either have a very contorted view of what Men's Rights is about (pointing to the trolls, real misogynists, and others in order to discredit the rest of us), or really don't care and want to discredit us anyways for some reason.

What they fail to acknowledge is that they have similarly radical representatives; indeed, most large political movements do.

AMR is best left ignored.

People have been banned on this board before, it doesn't take long to create a new account and come back. Or if they're a truly dedicated troll, creating multiple accounts around the same time and using them.
