Dude, STOP READING THIS SUBREDDIT FOR A WHILE.

When you read something infuriating that you didn't even know was possible it effects you deeply, when you read something like that over and over, the effect is increased...

When I first got to this subreddit, I read a lot of stories and for a while it started to make me a bit paranoid and pessimistic, but the horror stories represent a fraction of women not the majority by any measurement.

Take a week or two to hang out with women and not read anything here.

I'm glad I've got a sane wife that understands a relationship is a give and take position. I never force her to do anything she doesn't want to do. She doesn't shove anything in my face that I haven't done. She goes to school all day and says she's fine with me being home when she graduates. I plan on working on my own projects and quiting my job, seeking to hopefully make enough to support us both. That's the plan, but I digress. She's happy, I'm happy, and we fill for the most part a traditional man/woman relationship.
There are good women out there. Just remember that the idiot cries far louder than the wise man (or woman). They'll seem more numerous for that.

fairer sex

People always seem to misunderstand this term. Fairer refers, in this case, to physical beauty not fairer in the moral sense. So this saying just basically acknowledges that women are prettier than men, not that they have a better developed sense of justice.

Think of the saying, "Faint heart never won fair lady". It just means pretty.

It sounds like you're hurt and suffering. I try not to give too much credence to conclusions I reach in that mindframe.
I hope you'll find someone who can be tender and nurturing with you.
On the other hand, in my experience, people who consistently become involved with drama queens are often insecure. As a result, they tend to fall for women who send broader signals, because they feel more confident approaching, and they don't even notice the quiet, decent women all around them who'd love to get to know them.

Men own, we're dependable and wise, strong and we don't complain. We're natural leaders and we love to learn and understand the world around us. We're reasonable and level headed, basically, we kick ass. Thats not misogyny, thats pride and men should be proud of who they are as well, I'm sick of all this female worship, its time for our day in the sun. Almost 2 generations now have been taught to hate men and have not understood and respected manhood as something just as 'emotional' and important as femininity.

OP: I'm going to take a wild guess and assume you're from America. Your complaint isn't uncommon. You've got the most active women's rights movement the world over. They're telling women that men are stupid, inferior, and generally not worth their time. In other words, women aren't necessarily bad, it's just that they've been taught some terrible values in the US. They're not the same in other countries. Here in New Zealand, in Australia, South Africa, and all over Europe, society is much more used to amiable equality. If you moved to one of these areas - even if you just went on holiday - you'd be able to gain some perspective. Of course, nowhere is perfect. Women are engineered a little differently to us. Most of them don't appreciate honesty, integrity, and honour with the same fervour that we do; they've got a different perspective and different priorities. It doesn't make them "wrong" either. It's really important to explain what you value highly at the start of a relationship.

To cheer you up, I went through many truly fucked up women before I met my current partner. They all started off quite normal - until the shit hit the fan. Don't blame yourself, either. They're experts at emotional manipulation; we just aren't. Once you do realise what they're up to, don't stick around. Move onto the next one and don't look back. Eventually you'll find the right one too. It usually means realising your priorities and making some sacrifices. I used to go for the girls that all the guys gawked at when she entered the room. I realised after a while that no matter how amazing her self control was, eventually she was going to lie and cheat. There aren't many people that can remain modest when they're constantly offered the world. So I gave up on the stunners and went for the cute, yet understated geek. So far, I couldn't be happier.

Not saying you should "lower" your standards (as in, no need to give up dating women who can see their whole body in an average floor-length mirror,) but if you're attracted to a type of woman that winds up to be batshit insane, time and time again, you might want to reassess your attraction. What, exactly, is drawing you to these batshit insane women?

There are plenty of women that are drawn to douchebags and who whine about how men are losers and mean and stinky-poo heads. They keep dating the stinky-poo heads, of course. And they keep whining. And they keep believing that all men are stinky-poo heads because all the men they date are douchebags.

There are also plenty of men who chase after batshit insane women and then wonder why their wallets are empty and their beds are cold. Poor me. What did I do? Why are women so mean?

We're all screwed up. You wind up fucked-up (and deserving of being alone) when you assume that there's something wrong with everyone else except you, or that everyone else has unrealistic standards while yours are perfectly reasonable, or that others are shallow and insensitive... but why doesn't that hottie with the 10 body and 10 face want you? She should look to the deeper person beneath... and not be so shallow. Yet how many girls with maybe a 6 body and a 7 face have you given a chance?

Edit: Oh, and of course, the generic, "judge people badly for themselves, not as a representation of their gender/race/religious affiliation" thing. Woman A sucks. Not all women suck. Man A sucks. Not all men suck.

Dude. This hurts me to say, and I know i will sound like a complete ass to everyone, but i mean this as a hopeful thing:

You WILL find them. You simply aren't earning enough money yet. As you get older and move up whatever career ladder you are on, you will displayy attributes most women find sexy (signals of security and dependability, if not ostentatious wealth). Women with more attractive qualities (beauty, mental health, winning personality) will then begin to be receptive to you. Its a fact of life. Young men and old women suffer in the dating game.

EDIT: Of course i wish this wasn't true. I wish there had been a girl for me that could have loved me for who i was when I was young. But, a sweet young poor guy is not what they want, and we have to deal with it.

My advice... avoid american women. Something in the way females here are raised makes them much more prone to personality disorders. Probably having a lot to do with disney. So far, the sanest women i've found, outside of 3rd world countries and asia, are in new zealand and south africa.

But if you're holding out for a rational american girl, you'll be waiting a really long fucking time.

personally I love women, but the retarded things they get suckered into like feminism, womens lib, its terribly naive and short sighted, but they eat it up. Being an obedient, dutiful wife and mother is degrading, but being an obedient and dutiful employee is empowering. Its as if John D. Rockefeller himself wrote that manual.

Women are gullible and easily lead astray, thats why its down right dangerous to treat them as equals to men. A man is almost always working for his best interests, even when he is being naive he is still engaging in a course of action that is in his best interest, or that of his family. With women, the right amount of the right flavored rhetoric and you can convince them to kill themselves or their children. Its ridiculous. The trusting benevolent nature of women is a beautiful thing, but in a world full of opportunists, it requires the temperament of male distrust and hostility.

Imagine a future society where children are no longer considered minors by law, and are no longer disenfranchised of their vote.

In this hypothetical society children have the same exact rights as adults, but of course their parents have to pay for their food and other necessities, let's call it Direct Child Support.

Politicians would do ANYTHING for the children vote, and anybody opposing any pro-children legislation would be called a misopedist.

Children would, of course, behave like children, and except for the rare mature child, do as they please, take stupid decisions, do stupid things and then blame their parents.

They have all the rights and no responsibilities, if they do something wrong they are not punished most of the times and only slightly punished the rest of the times, they are only children after all.

Seriously, try to imagine this reality, and think, wouldn't these children behave like little dictators and be very nasty people to have to deal with?
