Rape/sexual assault. It's scary how many people just don't believe a man can get raped by a women it's even scarier that in most countries the law doesn't recognise it either

One. Male disposability/the empathy gap.

This is the root of our entire lack of care surrounding men's issues, our willingness to hand-wave and justify everything that men might experience away, and our ability to believe that men are privileged and that women are oppressed despite all evidence to the contrary. And hardly anybody realises or is even willing to acknowledge that the empathy gap even exists, let alone how their own behaviour reinforces the idea that women matter more than men.

The empathy gap / the moral typecasting gender bias. I don't think it would be a stretch to say that it underlies every single other gender issue men are dealing with.

Inequality in education access and in education achievement. This is an inconspicuous issue which does not get much attention even in activist circles, but I am convinced it is a root cause, or at least a contributing factor, to other more visible social issues, like homelessness, crime perpetration, substance abuse, and mental health problems.

If we could lose the idea that men are somehow supposed to be always self-sufficient or always taking care of themselves then we could probably see it a better bridge get billed between men and women

Society sees men is inherently disposable and that's why you see so many men committing crimes and more men doing violence and more men killing themselves

Men are expected to die in war and at the job and to protect other people but the catch is all of this is supposed to be something we're just supposed to do.

And most of the time it's all thankless anyway.

You rarely see a homeless woman or just a woman in general walking a great distance because most people will take pity out on them and offer them a ride or resources

The same thing does not happen to me as like I said before men are just expected to take care of themselves and know that already which I find crazy because no one just comes out the room knowing the secrets of the world are knowing how to navigate it

I'm 24 and that means I'm only about 6 years into adulthood and I'm still barely scratched the surface on what that means

The idea that men never need to think about their safety. I used to live in the south (aka the land of doing meth if you aren’t part of the good old boys club). I've been approached by meth heads while pumping gas. One thing you do not do under any circumstance is take your eyes off of someone high on meth because they'll stab you if they want your shinys. For some reason this doesn't register when I tell people. Just saying that I treat both men and women on meth as dangers brings out the worst kind of derision from the same people who claim they need to be fearful for the vaguest of reasons. Apparently maleness is 100% protection against drug fueled rages.

This is kind of a selfish answer, and there are probably much more important causes among others', but I've always imagined what it would be like if everyone suddenly understood what it was like to do nothing wrong, strive to be your best self as possible, and yet still not only get told nothing but "no", but on top of that, that you're garbage who deserves being alone because of it.

The best answer is technically "how toxic the disposable male provider/protector role is" but I don't know if you count that since its not one specific issue.
