It might improve after a week or so but I just got back from there and I have to agree.

I know the mods over there like to take a "free speech" approach, and I do think it will blow over given enough time as people get this out of their system. But I also think they need to do something moving forward and not take things lightly. Both for the sake of staying out of quarantine and for the sake of maintaining the quality of their subreddit for their users.

I'm not sure the argument is that it's not toxic there, the argument is that there are toxic subreddits for women that don't get and will never get banned. To allow the hypocrisy is highly dangerous. It should be both or neither.

Honestly, why would I cheer the MGTOW ban? I never once posted on those subs, but feel free to check my post history. But why on Earth would I be like “Yaaay, finally” knowing that such ban was heavily biased? Meanwhile, several misandrist subs have carte blanche to say whatever they want about men. I really struggle to understand why some men’s rights advocates are commemorating the MGTOW ban. What’s there to celebrate in the fact that misogyny isn’t tolerated, but misandry is?

As a practicing MGTOW, yeah, r mgtow was a cespit.

The problem was that it was always this ir that guy bitching about his ex, not men discussing intersting and fun ways to enjoy being themselves.

I've been thinking the same thing. Them standing up for mgtow and pushing everybody to go to some weird, unknown, "censorship-free" app sketches me out to no end. "Censorship-free" nowadays it's almost synonymous with "we won't ban you for being a white supremacist or Nazi" and I'll be damned if I'm going to let myself be associated with that shit. Fuck r/mensrights. All the mgtow guys are going to start spilling over and I honestly think that's where all the posts backing up mgtow have come from. They're finding their new home on that sub and I want no part of it.
