Do any of you realize that the LVM or scrotes in your life try to recreate or mimic scenes and characters from movies or tv shows?

My LVM ex thought he was Harvey Specter from Suits. I swear he has used so many lines from the show on me. They are so unimaginative they cant even have their own personalities lol

A little different but I remember how annoyed I was when I found out that like 90% of my guy friends’ “humor” was them just quoting their favorite movies or shows to each other. No originality at ALL. My female friend group was a thousand times more naturally funny.

One time a guy I never dated decided to serenade me at this concert. It was an event where a bunch of different small bands got to play. Basically my best friend at the time was friends and a huge fan of his band — I wasn't. I'm not a fan of concerts but I went with her because she really wanted to go, and no other friend was willing. I only met the guy ONCE before that.

So he kept making passes on me assuming I was just as much as a fan of them as my best friend was. He would offer to take a selfie with me (which I hated taking pictures so I was already uncomfortable) and usually with his other fans it he would just put his arm around their shoulder but for me he wrapped his arm around my waist and rested his chin on my shoulder for the picture (he's 5'4 so he could)

He kept asking me why I don't have their merch (sir, I was 16 and broke and I don't even know your band) Then kept flirting and looking down at my phone to see who I was texting, and would put his hands around my waist a lot.

When his band started to play, my best friend was mouthing the words to their songs in the front row and I'm just awkwardly clapping and then all of a sudden he sits in front of the stage right in front of me and looks me DEEP in the eyes and sings the whole song to me... and I felt SO uncomfortable and the everyone was looking at me.

This was just the beginning of him trying to make me his girlfriend... and we never went on a first date because I only saw him at a friend. Like WHY would you serenade someone in public when you don't even know if they are interested??? His band wasnt a big band or anything so I assumed he saw how people swoon for their fave artists in the media and thought this was the way to attract me? Idk but good god.
