I have thought about writing this post for awhile. This is prob nothing new to most of us, but I have been seeing this more and more often and after it happening AGAIN last night I have to vent.

If a man has the chance to cheat on his partner he WILL. I used to have my doubts, NoT aLL MEn and all that nonsense. But any more...with VERY few exceptions- if he can, he will. Here's my story:

I have a good friend who owns a restaurant and she will bartend a few nights a week there. I go in once a week to see her, have dinner and just hang out while she works. This is a "family friendly" type of environment and not what I would call a hook-up bar or anything like that. Anyway, almost without fail every time I am there I am hit on by a married man (or at least one who is in a serious, committed relationship). I am friendly and outgoing by nature and have no issues chatting with someone. Friendly chats are NOT what I am talking about. It usually starts with chatting, then he will buy me a drink (if I am aware of it I will usually turn it down - sometimes it's bought prior to me even knowing). So I have this drink and I thank him, that will usually cause the guy to lean in and start being flirty. Because obviously that's what I want when I thank someone. I'll usually make a comment about their wedding band at this point or ask about their GF (most of these guys are regulars and I know their status). They will smirk and either act all innocent, " I was just being friendly!!" or literally tell me how unhappy they are and how great I am and blah blah blah. Their excuses for flirting are always 1. Their wife is like a roommate and they are only together because of the kids. or 2. He wants a divorce but the wife will take the kids and never let him see them again. I love telling them that they are full of crap and I was married for 18 years with 2 kids and divorced. My kids actually FLORISHED because they were out of a toxic environment. And unless the wife has valid reasons the court is not going to just cancel the dad's rights to see his kids. It just doesn't happen like that.

Anyway...

All of this is usually followed up by asking for my number, Facebook messages or at the very least a friend request.

These guys bring their wives into this place. I KNOW some of their wives. It's sickening. And it happens WEEKLY. I am not some hottie either. I am 47 and not exactly in great shape, although I am still pretty damn cute IMO :).

ladies, just be aware...if your man is frequenting some place he may be hitting on someone. Like me. And not every woman out there is gonna tell him to F*** off.
