What? No. If he wanted to, he would. There’s no such thing as a “shy” or “oblivious” man when he really wants a woman. He might SAY he’s oblivious to maintain plausible deniability and avoid effort. Also if it’s really true that he thinks you’re too good for him, watch out. That’s often a trap to flatter women into thinking he will value her but he won’t. Insecure men make shitty prospects.

Do NOT say what you wrote in your last sentence. You do not want to date a person that clearly has no effort to give and cannot take the “risk” of asking you on a proper date. There are a million and one reasons to never, ever ask a guy out and some good recent threads on the topic. Also reviewing the handbook can be helpful to understanding this as well as why you should be super careful not to label someone as HV before you really know them.

Oh also after re-reading, I suggest not talking about FDS to people even if they seem to understand, they don’t. Especially this person who thinks it’s “progressive” for a woman to ask a man out.

Millennial and Gen Y men love to play princess and be chased, it's a huge ego stroke for them. Go ahead and play along if you'd like to be one of those 🤡 clown women who is begging for a proposal in 2 years and buying her own engagement ring. Because this is where that will end up.

Ladies, do. Not. Chase. Men. Periodt. These MF'ers will only learn by losing --losing you -- and seeing other men who do step up succeed.

I apologize that we GenX women unwittingly did you dirty by tolerating this LVM shit from men and letting them get soft.
