Society has made sexy the goal since basically the dawn of time. In the past it was to be sexy for men, however today, people are "rebranding" to be sexy for themselves.

Well I am here to tell you, that you cannot rebrand a name that has the literal definition of this:

adjective

  1. sexually attractive or exciting.

Attractive, that word means to be appealing to. Yes, you can be appealing to yourself, but in the most frequent use of terms the power of attraction (and it's success or failure rate) lies in the hands of someone else- usually of the opposite sex.

That being said, being sexy then isn't really something that I feel should be strived for. Instead, I feel that we should strive to be CONFIDENT. Confidence isn't in the eye of any beholder, it is something that is inside of you and that only you can define. Others may try to take your confidence away (ex: negging) but in all reality your confidence is completely under your control. No one can dictate how confident (or not confident) you are. Only YOU.

So, I say all that to say, women, go out and be confident! Make that your goal, the way in which you describe yourself. Sexy is for men, but confidence is TRULY for you!
