Lets look at some of the plans outlined here:

Eliminate Gender-Based Violence - According to the proposal, “The United States will create the first-ever U.S. National Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence, establishing a comprehensive plan to prevent and address the root causes of these problems, as well as increase options and opportunities for survivors to seek safety, support, healing, and justice.” By strengthening laws that support survivors and creating programs to prevent violence, they hope to free women from living in fear of gender-based violence.

Eliminate Gender Based Violence, so women dont have to live in fear. Not planning on doing anything about the 70% Male DV victims, or what about the Epidemic of Infanticide, babies being murdered by women, or how about the number of Female Teachers who are RAPING their students? Nah. Didnt think so...

Protect Abortion Rights, Expand Access To Healthcare And Create National Paid Family Leave - The plan vows to protect rights recognized under Roe v. Wade and improve access to affordable, quality health care to reduce the needlessly high rate of death related to pregnancy-related complications in the United States. In addition, the administration plans to create a national paid family and medical leave for parents and caregivers, which would include leave for bonding with a new child.

First as a Brit, its CRAZY that you dont have Maternity and Paternity leave in the US, but I digress. My question is this: Do you recognize that Men have less fatherly rights from the time of conception and plan to do anything about it alongside these abortion rights?

Improve Educational Opportunities For Women And Increase Access To STEM Fields - The plan promises to “pursue interventions that shift the culture of STEM to reduce bias, harassment and discrimination.” Since women hold two-thirds of the student loan debt, the plan also pledges to support training in job skills without the burden of debt.

Women are being encouraged into STEM fields AT EVERY TURN. There is a 2/3s Favourtism in STEM fields, and also (more importantly) Women ALREADY OUTNUMBER MEN in STEM Fields. What MORE do you want doing here?

Also "Women holding 2/3s of Student loan debt" is a strange way of saying "Women outnumber men in Higher Education". Why is that exactly?

Help Achieve Global Equality For Women - The plan vows to address human rights violations, promote reform of laws in other countries that discriminate against women and combat human trafficking

No Western 1st World country DOESNT have Equality for women. If you're talking about the Middle East here, may I remind you of the absolute shitshow you just pulled your army out of after 20 years of a war? You want that again huh?

Recruit More Women In Military - The strategy proposes to improve gender integration into the uniformed services and address the issue of sexual harassment and assault which has plagued the military. The strategy states, “This includes removing the prosecution of sexual assault, and the investigation of sexual harassment, from the chain of command, as well as creating specialized units to handle these cases and related crimes.”

"bUt OuR dAuGhTeRs"

In all seriousness, whats your plan when you find out that Women dont WANT to join the military? Complete waste of time and money here.

Involve More Women In Fighting Climate Change - The plan makes the argument that women may be disproportionately impacted by climate change, so more women should be involved in plans to mitigate its effects.

The end of the human race is upon us, women most affected. GTFO of here with that shit!

Recruit More Women In Leadership - The administration will promote transparency and encourage organizations to disclose the gender balance of their management and board positions. They also vow to appoint more female judges and to encourage female participation in government leadership.

So we're moving away from "The most qualified person gets the job" now? Women will be getting the jobs based on sheer virtue of being a women? Sounds very gender discrimination to me...

Close the gender pay gap - The administration vows to strengthen discrimination laws and issue new policies against practices like reliance on prior salary history which can exacerbate prior discrimination.

The Gender Pay Gap which doesnt exist right? Theres more Waffle here than in a Birdseye factory. Reference

Increase Availability Of High Quality, Affordable Child Care - The administration hopes to cut costs of child care by more than half for most families, promote universal pre-kindergarten and expand the universal Child Tax Credit.

Fantastic. Great idea. Completely non-gendered as well. I worry about how you're gonna pay for it, but thats your problem not mine.

Im just gonna leave off with this fantastic quote:

The goal is not to elevate women at the expense of any other group but to support programs that will elevate traditionally underserved communities and help them reach their greatest potential.

Clown world everyone. Clown world!

I would also point out how they conveniently ignore the fact that Nursing and Medication are STEM and are areas of STEM in which women DOMINATE but when you ignore this its much easier to push the narrative that women are under represented..

But other than that I agree 100% with what you said!

Women already have an educational advantage in the United States, why are they trying to give women more?

[+]az226 -22 points-21 points-20 points 4 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

I’m ok with giving women more in areas where they’re behind, laws or actual structural disadvantages. But we also need to give men (even though men have a lot) because men don’t have a lot in all areas and not all men have a lot.

[–]someone_butnoone 22 points23 points24 points 4 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Literally in all sectors women have the advantage lol. Companies are literally under pressure to hire more women who are even less qualified than some male applicants bcos of "equitty". Its not good

[+]az226 -11 points-10 points-9 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I’m not talking about that, because that’s not an area where they’re behind.

For instance, in Yemen wives aren’t legally allowed to leave their house without their husband’s permission. That’s messed up.

[–]someone_butnoone 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Sure, but in Yemen men are also regularly drafted without question if needed especially with the civil wars there. In Yemen the court systems are even more extreme than even the UK. In Yemen and basically alot of second and third world countries, men and boys are often considered disgusting pigs, some will even told to the face (India has the most of these). But no, u wont hear this any where on the news. Turns out not being able to leave the house without permission is trivial compared to these other stuff, especially when women dont work much there meaning there wont be a reason go out much in the first place. Its a problem but trivial compared to the rest which arent even mentioned. Whether women are less or not in a field, hiring them even when they are less qualified is wrong, plain wrong. You cannot justify that.

[–]az226 -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Don’t make it an OR, make it a yes AND.

Why can’t we do both?

[–]someone_butnoone 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yes, we can. But for that u need to ACKNOWLEDGE the issue exist on men's side as well. We ARE trying to do both, equitty isnt

[–]az226 -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Did I ever say that? You’ve made some weird assumption. I was responding to the commenter who said, why should we give women more.

I’m saying it’s not wrong to give women more where it’s necessary. I never said, let’s also give nothing to men.

There’s so much we need to give to men, but we shouldn’t make it so that all is given to men and nothing to women just because men have it worse. We should give where we can and it’s needed. That’s why I’m saying it’s a yes AND, not an OR. But again you jump to a weird assumption saying I need to acknowledge that men need too.

If you looked at my post history you can see I have a clear position that we need to level the playing field for men and women, and make it equal opportunity, not equal outcome.

[–]someone_butnoone -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Well, yes. You highlighted the issue of women in yemen, while basically being oblivious to those of men there. Its wrong to give a particular grp ANYTHING cause we cant measure the magnitude of what they actually need. All we can and should do is give the same opportunity and see what everyone does with it. What you're looking fir is equality of outcome, or equitty and its very very bad. Giving a specific group an advantage is now schools have ruined boys and are continuing to doing so rn. Thats what equality of outcome is

[–]az226 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I’m just going to stop here. You’re clearly having this discussion in bad faith.

I literally said we don’t want equal outcome, we want equal opportunity in the comment you responded to yet you say that I stand for the opposite. Gtfo.

[–]someone_butnoone0 points 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Yes, but when ur mind even thinks of providing extra support to a certain party just bcos they are lacking, ur thinking if equality of outcome. You r thinking of more of helping more of them getting jobs. And that is equality of outcome. Equality of opputunity ends at everyone having access to a roof, food and education. What you are fightibg for contradicts what you SAY you are fighting for

[–]Rhum-runner -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fallacy of composition mate.

Just because a few have a ton doesn’t speak for the whole.

[–]Kindly-Town 72 points73 points74 points 4 years ago* (28 children) | Copy Link

At this point he is just fooling women to keep their votes. In his bill it says it will take actions on wage disparity while he knows that companies aren't going to compensate women for the lies of feminist statistics.

Companies are already complying with wage discrimination law, they don't give a fuck about Biden's propaganda for women. They have army of lawyers ready to sue if they are forced to lose money just because the lie looks convincing.

[–]SunshineMoonLit 41 points42 points43 points 4 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Companies are already complying with wage discrimination law

This is how you know every woman who spouts this stuff, saying she is underpaid for the same job, is either lying, or just too stupid to use the power given to her to correct the situation. There are laws in place, specifically for women, to get paid more if they are in fact underpaid for being a woman.

Use them or shut up already.

[–]HPUnicorn 50 points51 points52 points 4 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I have had several women around my work over the years have stated they get paid less, I then ask them

1) Do you have the same educatioin as X

2) Have you been with the company as long as X

3) Do you have the same work responsibilities as X

4) Do you work as much overtime as X

5) Do you work weekends etc etc etc

The answer to these questions is almost always NO

[–]CrowMagpie 31 points32 points33 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I once had a woman at work - someone I liked - come out of a gender studies class, and stand in front of my desk ranting for about five minutes about the glass ceiling and how women can never get an advance, etc…

I finally said 'you outrank me'. It actually got her to stop.

[+]gntcc -40 points-39 points-38 points 4 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

  1. Being overqualified doesn't mean you should get paid more...
  2. Being in a company longer means shit in the end. Everyone is replaceable.
  3. Just because the responsibilities are different, doesn't mean you should earn more or less money for the same position. If the person takes a leave, someone else needs to take those responsibilities and this person doesn't earn more because of that...
  4. Working overtime shouldn't be rewarded or seen as good... if you need to work overtime either the company needs to fix their mismanagement, or you need to fix your own work mismanagement. It's never OK to work overtime. Just never.
  5. Also weekends. Omg if your are not retail or work at a company that has to be open on weekends, you really should quit your job.

I am sorry but your view of a healthy working environment and pay is very very very very sick... none of your points are a reason to get paid less, just reasons to leave the company ASAP... if someone would say those lines to me, I would ask him if he feels OK, if it's my boss I would quit and file a lawsuit.

[–]Sparrowphone 28 points29 points30 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

1 but people who are not overqualified do deserve more money if they have more qualifications.

2 experience often makes you more valuable to your employer. Such value deserves compensation.

3 just... What?

4 some work can't be ended when the shift ends. Do you want a fireman about to save you to stop and say "end of shift!"

5 no firemen on weekends. Got it.

Either you're a troll, or you just plain can't think about this topic critically.

[–]Punder_man 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

  1. If part of my job requires having certain qualifications then why should someone who lacks those qualifications get paid what I get paid?
  2. Some people like to reward loyalty by offering benefits and stuff if you stick with the company for a long time instead of using it as a rung on your journey up the ladder.
  3. If our positions and roles / responsibilities are equal.. sure.. but if part of my job involves security work and yours does not then I might decide to negotiate more for the added responsibilities
  4. If i'm contracted to work 40 hours a week but am needed to stay on to get an important project done / ensure the launch is smooth then why shouldn't I be paid more for that? Hell in my current role (Helpdesk) I get paid over time if I come in on a day off to cover someone else's shift.. but according to you I shouldn't be allowed to negotiate things like that..
  5. Shock horror but sometimes businesses need people there on the weekend.. hell my 'weekend' is Thursday / Friday every week.. but once again according to you people should not have the choice to do anything apparently..

Regardless of you views of what you consider to be an 'unhealthy work environment' it still doesn't change the FACTS that men work on average longer hours or in more physically demanding jobs than women and as such get paid more for it.

[–]SunshineMoonLit 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Just because the responsibilities are different, doesn't mean you should earn more or less money for the same position.

This is genuinely the absolute dumbest argument. You are literally, LITERALLY paid for your responsibilities. That's how employment works. I hire you do to XYZ, guess what you are responsible for to earn your pay check?

I am sorry but your view of a healthy working environment and pay is very very very very sick

You view is genuinely retarded and completely void of reality.

Working overtime shouldn't be rewarded

What kind of asshole even are you?

[–]CrowMagpie 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The irony is, I wasn't even saying (or thinking) that this woman didn't deserve to be in a higher position. Just that she shouldn't be saying women can't get ahead of men, to a man she's ahead of.

[–]Aggravating-Equal-97 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Fooling women? He is certainly making the military weaker for their votes. He is not only lowering standards of women but he is alps lowering standards for men so that cute tomboys can feel like they 'are equal'.

[–]Kindly-Town 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Fooling as in he pretends to agree with whatever feminism says and in the end takes their votes and becomes the President. Justin Trudeau does exactly this.

[–]Aggravating-Equal-97 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So, basically, still ruining the lives of men and compromising national security while at it. I bet that there are many young men who no longer want to join the service over this woke, feminist trash. I had a dream of trying out for it; see, I kind of want to be an American citizen and if I ever manage to come over there, I was thinking of going for it. Now...you know.

[+]AdMission9428 -23 points-22 points-21 points 4 years ago (16 children) | Copy Link

Who tf else are women supposed to vote for? Donald Trump? Like no one wants that shit regardless of gender.

[–]Kindly-Town 23 points24 points25 points 4 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Neither. Just look at the data of top President and Prime Minister in every western country who openly identify themselves as a feminist. Their views in media agree with feminist narrative and yet they are the one in power, leading women and having them to vote for them. Prime Minster of Canada and Spain do the same thing to win the election. They are lying to women. It just works.

[+]AdMission9428 -17 points-16 points-15 points 4 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Justin isn't lying to women he's lying to everyone because he said he'd take money out of politics, but at least he legalized weed so we care less now

[–]Kindly-Town 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

He isn't honest with women either. These 1% men have one thing in common. They are able to convince women to follow their lead.

[–]someone_butnoone -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

U jealous of that 1% of men. That isnt good

[–]Kindly-Town 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm pointing out how they use the feminist viewpoints to convince women to elect them. This is why this Biden's equity propaganda won't change anything.

You seem to care more about the delivery of my message than the message itself.

Equity = Government enforcement of outcome

[–]YaskyJr 59 points60 points61 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Equality = those who work hard will succeed, the lazy will fail

Equity = everyone is lazy because working hard only gets you as much as the lazy

[–]az226 -4 points-3 points-2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ironically income inequality leads to higher economic growth. Basically the balance is, do those who have it worse today have it better but everyone in the future have it worse vs. they will have it the same but everyone in the future will be better off due to progress and innovation.

Like common folk today have it better than some nobility 500 years ago. And the same will probably be true in the next 500 years. The question is do we reach that next 500 in 500 years or 5,000 years.

[–]iGotBakingSodah 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yep. I'd say that the only thing we need to add to this is that luck plays a factor in life as well. Have a decent social safety net to help people get back on their feet when shit goes wrong, and it can go wrong fast. But other than that, it should be as fair of a game as possible. Meritocracy should get you the job, not filling a quota.

[–]az226 15 points16 points17 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Funny how the objective is gender equality yet zero efforts for areas where men need to be uplifted. Like college enrollment is 60-40% female led, suicides and homelessness are leaning male, bodily autonomy for boys, etc.

Not a single initiative, at least from reading this article. I haven’t read the actual long form doc.

[–]MisterBowTies 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

To achieve gender equality we need to increase the number of homeless women, homelessness is a male dominated industry. Over 75% of homeless adults are men. We should roll out a mandate to encourage more women to explore this field and dissuade men from this industry by forcing them to accept food, shelter and means to gainful employment. Move over men the future is female.

[–]iForceM 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I might be a genius innovator who built a company and become CEO. I worked hard for years to built this company and one day the Government can tell me to fire me and hire a women CEO!

[–]awsdlefthandbutton 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Equity just means that I aim to earn enough to meet my needs (plus 15% for savings) and don't bother about the rest.

If there is no reward for extra effort why bother, does this mean a society of sociopaths?

<Edit: spelling>

[–]CuppaSouchong 18 points19 points20 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Policies pushing equity are made for the people who can't succeed even when there is equality.

It's also a lot of people who are just disadvantaged, like growing up in a poor family for example. They see the life lotto as opportunity (they should have got) in a way. Truth is if you're dirt poor or born rich, you can still do the same things, yes, one takes longer than the other and much more work, but what in life doesn't? A guy who is 5'9" has to work a fuck ton harder to get in the NBA as a guy who is 6'7". People with fat genes have to work harder to get fit. That's life, it's not fair, it never will be, more so when nature comes into play. But you do have the same opportunities, all of them, in some instances you have to work much harder than others to achieve the same results. This is what I think a lot of the senseless complaining is actually about, it's a lot of bitter women and simpy men (feminists) complaining and then blaming everyone for the draw of cards they got for what they want in life. It's childish.

It's very "wahh wahh, I got a purple skittle and they got red, I want red!!!!!!! This is unfair!!!" The fairness always seems to line up with wants and not what is actually fair, fancy that.

Equity in college admissions, incarceration rates, or other such things?

This man is clearly NOT fit to be the “president.” I can’t believe how delusional people are.

Well considering that the author puts "intersection" in their authorship realm, no suprised she wrote it this way.

[–]pfizerface 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol this will all backfire horrendously in some years.

I’ve been saying this for a long time. Equality is immoral when the things that you are trying to equalize are not equal. 2 = 5 is immoral. Men = women is immoral.

Men and women are not equal and are both capable and specialized to do different things, so giving women the rights to work independently from men unfairly offsets the gender balance. Men should work for women and women should continue to be happy with that privilege they used to have.

Women can be engineers and stuff if they enjoy that kind of work, but earning money and being able to use, abuse, and abandon men out of convenience is a power only available to them very recently with feminism. They aren’t even grateful after achieving the current level of unfairness.

In other words, not equality of opportunity, but equality of outcome.

These fucking laws are all so clearly about disenfranchising men (the gender that would fight back against an oppressive system) in order to assert more authoritarian control over the population in general. This country, along with the other countries following these guidelines, are baby stepping their way to tyranny and complete control of people with these policies. And it is NOT a left vs right issue.

That pig of a president should realize that the first steps to achieve gender equality is by making it illegal to preform genital mutilation on boys and drafting men.

Let's go brandon.

If anyone thinks we can end gender based violence, why won’t they bother to end all violence? Why is gender violence between adults worse than mothers who kill their children? If we’re going to end any kind of violence I would vote for violence against children. Women are grown adults who are capable of defending themselves, unless you believe the authors of this bill.

Help me I want out, what’s a country that isn’t sexist towards either gender

The federal govt can't find its own ass with both hands, these are the same people who can't keep track of a trillion dollars and don't know where the money went. Incompetent, corrupt, especially Biden, Biden's like that guy who knows where all the bodies are buried, except now he's senile and forgot.

The dark truth is that America died when JFK was assassinated.

What we're living in now is like Rome during the dark ages, a revolving door of flunkies take turns looting the country, and people scavenge the colloseum for building supplies.

I see the radical idiot's replacement is another radical idiot, just from the opposite end of the spectrum.

You know, it's a horrifying thought that in the near future a country under a generally oppressive, racist, homophobic, transphobic, islamophobic, antisemitic and Winnie the Pooh lover government may still have more true equality than the West.

Modern Educayshun looks more and more like an accurate prediction than a satire

Wait, what's the difference? I thought it was the same?

[–]redramsfan123 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

I'll give you an example. There are 2 people, person A and Person B.

Person A has alot of ambition while Person B is a bit on the lazy side.

With equality both people would have equal opportunity to prosper but because Person B is less ambitious Person A prospers more than Person B.

With equity, even though Person A works far harder than Person B they both get an equal result meaning that Person A gets a much shorter end of the stick unless they become just as laid back and carefree as Person B.

To sum it up. Equality = equal opportunity while Equity = Equal results.

The funny thing is this bill technically isn't even equity either because there are plenty of places that men are lagging behind women in generally speaking yet the bill is still advantaging women over men in those areas.

Thought they were synonyms before. Thanks for the clarification!

Some of their plans aren't half bad, like enforcing global equality (if that's A, what they were actually doing, and B, not the USA shoving it's fingers in everyone's business again), but the rest show a clear misunderstanding of how, ironically, capitalism works. How can you be both aggressively capitalistic and barely capitalistic at all?

[–]Lord-Herek 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is not capitalism, this is straight up communism.

[–]Legitimate-Ad-6267 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, and you obviously don't have a clear understanding of capitalism if you're trying to add a hint of communism here and there.
