I’ve followed along to this sub for several years now because I have an almost 3-year-old and also another baby due in January and there are very few male equivalent subs. It’s a women-dominated support group for parents. Occasionally I get some really helpful info from there.

But pretty regularly there are these post that get super upvoted about how “daddy did X (insert one-sided anecdote with literally zero context from what caused it) and now I’m coming here to get a thousand women to tell me to go to the cops/leave his ass etc.”

I had the audacity to comment on one of these saying she’s getting the answers she already knew, that there was no context, and that she needs to get some help. After the hive found my comments of course I get downvoted heavily and someone saying I’m a victim blamer and someone else saying that I should be ashamed of myself and I should leave the sub, etc.

After saying I was a male victim of domestic violence, and that these one-sided posts make my spidey senses tingle, I got whopped with the ban.

Not saying these people don’t have cases or that they’re not telling the truth, it’s just amazing to me how people on here can just accept a one-sided story from a woman as fact and that these people are probably ruining men’s lives by enabling these women, some of whom are no doubt toxic and who could have started the whole ordeal for all we know.

Anyway, I am probably the asshole here and maybe I even deserved the ban, but these things are pretty triggering for me.
