Maybe back during the time feminism was founded you’d have a point in saying it was for equality but why is it still a thing?

The foundational principles of all flavours of feminism (class warfare between men and women with men winning, shorthanded as "Patriarchy") are inherrently anti-male when you examine what needs to be true for it to accurately describe reality. Feminists can claim that it's "just about equality", but it's equality based on bigotted assumptions, presuming psychopathy on the part of men as a class.

Feminism's first big act was one of supremacy, the creation of a two tier citizenship where one class got citizenship rights (the vote) without the responsibility of civil and military conscription, while the other class' citizenship rights were contingent on their conscription. The Declaration of sentiments says "The history of mankind is a history of repeated injuries and usurpation on the part of man toward woman, having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over her."

Egalitarian values are innately anti-feminist.

Bruh when was it a fight for equality? Where were these feminists demanding equal rights when men were dying after getting conscripted for 1000 of years. Now that society has finally become peaceful and civil they wanna come in and start demanding rights that no one had in the first place.

Feminism was never a fight for equality right from its inception.

It was always about 'more rights' for women. (Not just equal, but more)

Even first wave feminism fought for equal rights (voting) but not for equal responsibility (conscription).

Rights without responsibility.
Power without accountability.

That is how feminism has always been.

You can go through my comment history, to find out more about how feminism actually lobbied for gender-biased laws like rape/DV laws, even when govt wanted to make them neutral.
(I am talking about taxpayer funded feminist groups, not random internet feminists)

Feminism has a dark underbelly that is now being exposed. Its just a matter of a generation or two before we reach the tipping point..

you are correct. i used to consider myself a feminist until i realized this. i’m for true equality. and men have just as many rights and freedoms being oppressed as women if not more. and a lot of them perpetuated and celebrated by feminists. feminism has become a narcissistic cesspool, if it wasn’t always.

Feminism has proven time and time again it wants advantages for women, not equality. Here in the U.S., feminists have lobbied for and won many laws that advantage women and disadvantage men.

Then of course there’s the propaganda. Kill All Men, masculinity being toxic, over inflating rape statistics, a false patriarchy theory: these are not about equality, they are misandrist.

The SCUM manifesto advocates the extermination of men. Feminists claim it’s just the writings of a crazy person that should be ignored, yet feminists read it in droves. Obviously it appeals to them. Julie Bindel advocates men accused of rape be denied a trial by jury. Donna Hylton helped kidnap, and murder a man so feminists hire her to speak at their events.

It goes on and on. Feminism is a hate movement that seeks to advantage women over men. Anyone who doesn’t see this is either an indoctrinated feminist or has been in a coma the last 50 years.

Feminism has nothing to do with equality. Just read the tag line. It says "female empowerment". And for the record, feminism is poisonous for women as well. It's a bunch of sweet lies that young women swallow, and when they see themselves past a certain age, lonely, without a family and forced to take care of themselves, they come to the internet and bitch about how they were tricked. That is if they have the self awareness to not blame the men who are either married or divorced and uninterested anymore.

I’ve genuinely never seen a feminist fight for equality. I’ve only seen feminists try to make my language gender neutral, encourage hatred of men and whites, force women out of the home, and lots of other things that I deem very destructive to society.

Feminism has manifested into something that has nothing to do with women’s rights anymore, in fact they seem to actively be working against women’s rights especially when they try to pressure women to have sex with trans ‘women’.

When feminism redefined rape in the minds of women, if not legislation, to be anything a woman feels subjectively uncomfortable about, it became possible to generalise and demonise most men: what man could not be held responsible for resulting in a woman feeling uncomfortable at some point in her life?

The reality is that rape should have been reserved in terminology and law solely for the most extreme, violent and vicious sexual assault, with all other sexual assaults graded by objective harm and not subjective feelings. Now, every subjective hurt feeling of women has been condensed into a single category of extreme sexual assault (rape) and generates hatred, requiring the most extreme penalty: that's why #killallmen became a thing as every imagined hurt is essentially perceived as the same thing.

There has basically been extreme overreach driven by vengeance and not justice. Women are now expressing every little subjective hurt feeling as a crime against themselves, pursued with extreme prejudice and zero rationality over consequences, against men as the cause.

You are being demonised for a reason (ie that women should never experience subjective discomfort), but not with reason/rationality.

Egalitarianism is what both men and women should be striving for (ie win-win), not separate competing rights for men and women for advantage (ie win-lose or more realistically lose-lose) via feminism and its MGTOW backlash.

I think women have sealed their fate by abandoning any concern for men and creating a "them and us" war: they should not be surprised when men eventually are forced to go to war as the warriors they have a history of being in order to protect themselves. Or perhaps they will be surprised as women are not experienced in warfare, having carefully excluded themselves historically from responsibility and involvement.

Not that this is any kind of a justification but a lot of women who disregard mens issues has had problems with men disregarding their own problems they've had with inequality. Instead of coming together to work through those things together they get bitter, toxic and insensitive. I wouldn't say that their isnt still a fight for equality for women. The problem with 3rd wave feminism is that, entitled bitter women, instead of focusing on the real inequality, put themselves on a pedestal and think because we've been wronged for so long that we deserve more than equality which basically diminishes any real struggles we face and at that point it's no longer feminism. We can hate 3rd wave feminism but I will say you should look into intersectional feminism which seems to be the only real form of feminism left, which I hope gives people an idea of why feminism is still very needed and relevant just as mens issues are important to discuss. Neither one is more important than the other and that's something people fail to realize. Men who think feminism isn't important or relevant anymore is basically the same as 3rd wave feminism, where women don't believe men expirience they own gender based issues.

Feminism surely used to be about equality, back when women genuinely had less 'rights'. Now its about superiority, special treatment, and having their cake and eating it too. Being allowed to cheat on their spouses, being absolved of any accountability through blaming men, and being allowed to have hairy armpits but still believe they deserve male attention is more of their fortè these days.

i agree with most of the stuff here but i wanted to ask. you specifically mentioned that "only a very small minority of men" commit stuff like rape. While I don't think that men should be portrayed as villains as they are in the media now, there are notably higher percentages of male perpetrators over women perpetrators (in short, significantly more people who do stuff like rape are men). I wanted to ask your thoughts on this? I promise im not trying to be defensive, I just want to hear what you have to say about that.
