A lot of people do that in divorces. They'll agree to "ABCDEF & G." And then when it comes to sign, they say, "oh, no. You need to remove G, then I'll sign." So what happens if you remove G?

They'll come back and say, "oh, if you remove F, then I'll sign." They'll keep doing this until the whole divorce is as one-sided as can be.

During my 2 year-long divorce the ex and I went back and forth and she kind of pulled the same thing... Basically out of nowhere decide something was unacceptable. Even things she had requested. Eventually it got to the point where we have x/y/z agreed upon and we're going to the judge for other matters that we couldn't agree on, then the day of signing she made one last demand which was to change my son's last name to her name. I told her to go fuck herself, my lawyer told her lawyer those exact words and we received a signed agreement 20 minutes later. Don't let her push you around.

Mediation worked in my case. Adding a mediator who had quite a lot of experience with the judge in my case helped. Mediator saying “well, you’re not going to get that if it goes to the judge” got most of the nonsense out of the draft agreement and kept most of the new nonsense from creeping in.

She's hoping you'll give in just to be done with it. A last ditch try. Good chance if you say no she'll sign the original in a few days, after she sees that you really aren't going to sign her new version.

Let your lawyer deal with her lawyer and make his client come back to reason. Be firm with yours that you're not giving in on that, because it was agreed. Be firm with your lawyer. Be firm with your lawyer.

He can argue that you'd withdraw your approval on stuff she wants if they didn't close it as agreed. That's some bullshit bitch right there. Fuck her

Hold firm, her lawyer drafted it meaning it was done with her agreement, a court will get really piss d at her for reneging on the agreement she agreed with her lawyer, it won't go well for her.

This happened with mine. We had a mediation agreement set, then as we were at the signing she sees something she claims she missed and wanted it changed. So the signing turned into another hour long mediation session (another $300 for the hour we had to waste) and for the sake of my sanity and so I could move the f$&k on I relented and gave in. But if you feel you need to stand firm, hold strong and don’t give in.

It ain't over till it's over. Pulling the rug out at the last minute on an issue she knows is near and dear to your heart is par for the course. She doesn't want it to end for some reason.
