i haven't been bossed around by a women for 15 years except for the 3 months I lived with my mom after my father died. That was very difficult.

One of the biggest things most [hetro] women struggle with is a conflict between wanting to control her man and have him be her servant but being sexually attracted to a man she can't control, who leads her.

Most men now lose this battle because all the tools available to help keep that temptation at bay now count as abuse. Culture and religion used to put some pressure also to help women keep this temptation under control, but now it's also flipped where they instead encourage it. Under the Duluth Model a guy can't say if she does X, he will leave, because that counts as abuse.

So yes, about all a guy can do now is live his life how he wants. Only if a woman comes along who wants to be apart of it without trying to change you, then maybe you can entertain the idea. Don't be surprised when she changes after she thinks she's caught you though.

I agree with your main point but I want to quibble a bit about the wording: there is NOTHING to being a man in serving and obeying a woman, images in the media and popular culture notwithstanding. Other points I would suggest:

Being a good father and provider to your children has nothing to do with knuckling under to a woman. My dad loved rock music and played lead guitar in bands his whole life; it never stopped him from being a faithful husband and a good father.
Being obsessed with shaping yourself to look attractive to women is neither manhood nor adulthood. Shape yourself to feel good about yourself and to improve your mental and physical strength. If women are attracted to you as a result, that is a side effect, not a goal.
Like everyone else, men were put on this earth for one purpose: to be happy. And you are not obligated to start, maintain, or attempt to salvage, a relationship with a woman that does not make you happy.
You are not obligated to read a woman's mind. Mainly because mind-reading is impossible. If someone is upset about something, it's OK occasionally to start the conversation and ask them what is wrong. Either to find a solution to a problem or to just listen. But if that happens to you all the time in a relationship, it's time to kick them to the curb. They might be a nice person otherwise, but they don't have what it takes to make an equal contribution to a relationship.
If someone is playing hard to get, move on. Life is too short. Respect yourself.
If a woman starts ordering you around the house all the time, commanding you to do certain house chores when you want to rest, acting angry all the time because some insignificant house chore hasn't been done, etc., that is bullying. The solution is to get up one weekend morning at 5 am, do the dishes, do the laundry, vacuum the house, feed the kids, make the place beautiful from top to bottom. When she gets up, kick her out of the house and order her to mow the lawn and clip the hedges. Tell her she's not allowed back in the house until she's finished.

This is why I would never treat my man like this, he doesn’t obey or serve me, I love serving him, he’s the man, I trust him to lead me and take care of me, so I can take care of him better. It’s all a balance. Sorry to any of you men who feel like this. It’s not right

Somehow I’m in a relationship where this doesn’t happen anyway. My woman doesn’t serve or command me, and I don’t serve or command her. We both set these boundaries pretty eary in the relationship. Sure there is the odd healthy power struggle now and again….but hey.

Just making the point that it is possible. All about respect and communication👌🏻

Little boys aren't asserting themselves. They're not imposing themselves on the space. They're not even thinking they're taking up any space. They're exploring and if anyone who comes along with them and explores with them is weaker than then them, they help them. Little boys are good.
