Media is and has been made by men and for men. Then rated and critiqued by men. There is a reason for the fervent exclusion of women.

They are terrified of a woman being allowed to be seen as more than a sex object who has to fawn for male attention. This is why female positions in media are 1/2 of 1% representation.

If women are making media, women will be shown in power. That is more powerful than anything that can be done after the damage has set in for a young girl. Disney fd us up. Everything sense then has fd us up.

This doc is really inspiring and I’m kinda still crying. It’s in Netflix. All of the post credits are also women.

I can’t imagine fawning over a man now. I’ve grown so much since my pickme days. It’s truly freeing. It’s mental slavery being a pickme it really is. But you don’t realize it until you come out on the other side
