I work casting and many other things for reality shows. Every single person n every single show from the very beginning is a low level actor who auditioned to be in these roles.

The problems, the pick me, the abuse, the misogyny, the money, the outfits, the arguments, the clever feminist clap backs. Guys this is literally all completely fake and scripted.

The realest thing is that they give people a problem to argue about and also give them alcohol. This makes it seem a little more off the cuff. That’s it, that’s the only thing separating 90 day fiancé from the Big Bang theory.

Look up every single person from the bachelor/bachelorette/ cheaters on an island / lost in a volcano lol… They are all non working model actors.

Reality tv can’t be something we act like is real life over here. Let’s do better.

Edit: I agree with everyone who pointed out the reality shows outline an extreme version of the problems in our society. They make them more visible and easier to spot. Discussing that is important.

My point with this post is when I see discussions on reality tv here, people don’t seem to know it’s scripted. If we are discussing a play by play of actors motivations, emotions and calling women pick me, as though they are real people that seems problematic.
