Edit: let me explain.

There is technically not a requirement for there to be males. Females possess all of the required equipment to produce another being all by themselves. Indeed, there are many female-only species that produce exact clones of themselves. So, this raises the biological (not moral/value) question: why do we have males?

One explanation is the Red Queen Theory. This theory name comes from Alice in Wonderland, wherein it is said that, in Wonderland, everyone has to run as fast as they can to just stay still. This allegory is used to explain the rapidly changing consequences of evolution. Because other species adapt to environmental changes, and new parasites, germs, viruses, and diseases emerge all the time, every slight change is a slight shift in who has the advantage in any given environment. In order to grapple for survival, it is advantageous to introduce as much variety into the gene pool as possible to “run as fast as you can” to keep up with changes.

In evolution, one of the most effective ways to introduce variety into the gene pool is to sexually reproduce. There is a trade off here - if we make clones, then we pass 100% of our genetic material down to the next generation, which is desirable. However, while mutations can occur in cloning, it is much more rare and random (plus, most mutations are negative). On the other hand, for the trade off of only passing down 50% of your genetic material, you can introduce a ton of variety and make a genetically unique being, without relying only on mutations.

This provides protection against new emerging diseases and parasites (by combination with someone who has different characteristics than the mother) and increased fitness to the environment due to aggressive sexual selection in mating behaviors.

In short, males exist because they robustly improve survival outcomes for offspring. They are far from “genetic defects” - males are key to the success of the entire mammalian species.

Let's unpack things.

If I remember correctly, there is a technology in its infancy to replace a sperm cell and fertilse an egg cell. But it is barely beyond proof of concept, so not really useful.

There multiple angles this can be approached from.

If you want to go the biology route (I personally don't like it): embrios that start to differentiate from similar organisms tend are considered more complex and a higher stage of evolution than those that remain the same. There are more differences between the stages of development of boys than girls, indicating that men would be a higher evolutionary stage. The argument isn't great since we are the same species and evolved to be complementary to one another.

Another biological route that also invalidates the premise of feminism is that men have a neurological response to women showing socially significant emotions. There is also research demonstrating that a propensity towards violence is linked to brain damage and lower IQ. There are also several rarely talked about studies demonstrating that women are responsible for initiating 70+% of unilateral domestic violence, and that's not even accounting for psychological violence. Combining them leads to her not just being wrong but the opposite of her claims being true. It's not a condemnation of women, but something to be aware of and keep in check. I can add some links if you want.

What she failes to understand is that in the positions that keep our society from collapsing, such as power plants, garbage collection, etc there are not enough women (due to women's choices) to make a difference, and without the men that maintain it humans will regress to at best the level of development of the middle ages in a matter of days/weeks. The problem with that is that way of living required a lot of people to have a lot of physical strength to keep things above starvation level.

A good thought to remember is that the "gears" that keep society going are maintained by sweat and broken and dead bodies of men who wanted to make the lifes of those they cared about better.

They wouldn’t maintain the infrastructure required to transport raw materials and keep the power on. They wouldn’t have any individual incentive to pursue such technical knowledge and demanding manual labor if they could. Sanitation services would likewise crumble, and there would be no industrial-scale manufacturing of medicines including antibiotics and vaccines before long. Once they lose all copies of that “defective” Y chromosome and have no way to go back to doing it the natural way, and the fragile apparatus for doing it the new way collapse, only the “backwards” cultures that never gave delusional harpies the reigns will survive. And the feminist utopias wouldn’t simply wither and die from lack of births; they’d be overtaken by those other cultures. Hell, even if all of humanity adopted this dumb practice they’d be annihilated by the return of the cruelty of the natural world and die brutally at tooth and claw (without weapons or ammunition to defend themselves) and from diseases we conquered long ago. Starting with the decrepit elders they’d abandon to save themselves.
