So we've all done it. Grasping at straws trying to convince her to stay. We'll, I don't want to do that anymore. I want to just let he go. Married 7 years, together 14, 2 kids age 12 and 9. Rough past couple of years and obviously hiccups throughout the relationship. I'm tired of chasing, it's exhausting. But I'm trying to distract myself rather than pushing her. I want to giver her the space, and peace she's wanting, and in reality I also need the space. I keep finding myself texting her dumb shit that really, isn't helpful, forcing my opinions and ideas on how she can "learn to love in marriage again", and honestly... she seems open to yhe idea of it, but likely wont pursue. How have you been able to distract yourself enough to where you aren't focused on what's going on in the marriage.? It's hard to not think about it, although I know in reality, I'll be fine, the kids will most likely be fine. I'm not sure that I'll want to remain friends with her after divorce though, I feel like that's pretty selfish of her to ask after rejecting me? I've read all the books, listened to all the podcasts, but most of the time... the situation is still in my mind somewhere, and I just want the thoughts and desperation to go away. Ideas? What's worked for you? I'm a decently fit 34 year old that's pretty attractive. Kids are currently living with me, she moved into her friends house about a week ago, and assumably has no intention of moving back in, and she is unemployed because she quit her job due to a mental breakdown essentially. I love this woman to death, and I want nothing more to be a family, but ar what cost? Guiltily her to stay? No. That's not right. We'd be in the same place we are now forever if that was the case. I know alot of you guys feel this, but begging and pleading and justifying they "why you should stay " just isn't worth it.
