STBX, if the roles were reversed here would throw me under the bus so fast. She agreed to a quick, no contest divorce and then went and hired a lawyer behind my back. We have six kids, and she’s going for the jugular. She already was spreading false rumors that I was abusive, a pedophile, and that I had raped her— all ridiculous and unfounded. She has all the kids. A few days ago my oldest had her laptop and her mom said to give it up. She refused. Mom attacked her and they broke the laptop. She then calls me and says pick her up I’m kicking her out, because that’s what moms do they send their kids to rapist pedophiles. I pay for her plane ticket. Once she arrives she shows me huge bruises all down her arm from the attack, and also tells me this past December her mom punched her in the face. My oldest is 14. Seems to me my STBX has handed me the divorce settlement on a platter, but I keep feeling like I’m making a blunder when I think about turning her in. (I’m going to turn her in, my kids are what matter most.) What is this weird, overwhelming fear about this? I don’t get it. This is all fresh by the way I’m two months out from separation.
