This is more just a vent because I'm feeling so disturbed by the situation I needed to say it out loud somewhere.

So the other day I was browsing through one of the smaller more fringe feminist subreddits because Reddit has this new recommendation algorithm. I was linked to it at some point so every now and again Reddit recommends it again because of 'past visits' or something. And it was a post talking about forming a female only militia. Conversation about purchasing guns and arming up. Related to the latest Roe v. Wade happenings and basically brainstorming an armed resistance.

And as I was reading it I started feeling more and more like "holy shit this is one of those really scary threads you read about in newspapers after a mass shooting". So I reported it to Reddit for inciting violence. And I heard back today from Reddit admins saying they'd reviewed the post and its content and that it did not violate any of Reddit's rules.

They were kind enough to include a link to the original post I'd reported days earlier. And its still up... and its still active... and its even scarier than it was the first time. But because its women talking about forming an armed response group its totally fine. Because its a feminist subreddit, calls to violence and encouraging violence are totally not taken seriously or justified or something, I guess?

That post, and no I will not link it, is exactly the kind of shit that the Men's Rights sphere gets the worst kind of exposure and blowback for. But here it is in exactly the worst possible format and messaging in a Feminist space and its literally ignored. And I just... Its actually terrifying. I feel real genuine fear right now. That Reddit will do absolutely nothing about it. When if it was men talking about the exact same thing they would be banned, or worse.

I know this isn't strictly a Men's Rights issue I just... I needed to say it somewhere. And I couldn't think of anywhere else that would allow it.
