Overturning Roe v. Wade just lets states decide on their own abortion policies. Mississippi and Florida passed 15-week gestational limits, which still gives women plenty of time to get abortions so I don't think much abuse will be deterred, at least in those states.

Stricter limits probably will deter some sexual abuse, but they will also result in more people (including men) forced into parenthood.

Joy Behar is taking the protest off the streets, and into the sheets. The View cohost suggested women withhold sex to fight against the leaked draft showing the Supreme Court’s opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade on Wednesday’s (May 4) episode of the talk show.

So what does the average man have to do with a Supreme Court decision? Nothing, this is just punishing men for being men.

Women finally demonstrating clearly that coercing men to do what they want by witholding sex or threatening to withold sex is the standard modus operandi.

I’d say let them withhold sex. For one - that would lead to fewer pregnancies they can abort, so that would in effect support the pro-life cause. Cool beans 😎

Two - and perhaps more importantly- it would blow up the paradigm that men are so completely pussy-whipped that they cave under the pressure of not having sex. Want to withhold sex over Roe v. Wade? Cool, gents: let’s help them out. Why don’t men withhold sex from these shrill shrews as well as their finances, attention, time, etc. until we see a social shift back towards validating men as an integral part of society and the family unit?

Give it a year - maybe two at the most - and you’ll see waves of women aging out of the sexual marketplace reacting in horror as those younger women left start to become more submissive, feminine, etc. in order to capture men’s attention once more.

(This post is part satire part wishful thinking - but hey, a bloke can dream, right? 🤷🏻‍♂️)

How is restricting a woman’s right to their own bodies a productive step?

I mean, bottom line if we really want to exclusively look at the impact on guys (which obviously shouldn’t be the sole focus in this context), surely it would just trap more guys? Just generally more women getting pregnant, especially young / poor women who are typically less likely to be properly educated on contraceptives etc.

Ignoring how abortions would most likely just end up happening illegally instead which is dangerous
