The leader of the government's new disinformation board is a published feminist author who linked MRAs with incels and Neo-Nazis. She also bragged about hurting a boy in school.

It is a common misconception that prostate cancer isn't very deadly. In reality, it's one of the deadliest- a breakdown

  • Women almost never scare us; commit random acts of serious violence; violate our sexual integrity; or form organised crime networks and yet their prisons numbers are now the highest in recorded history.

The writer needs a serious reality check. It's more true to say that women usually get away with all the crimes listed.

violate our sexual integrity

Yeah, 70% of mothers in the USA are already guilty of this, as of the latest MGM statistics

Battered women's syndrome has been used as a way to get women off death row for the cold blooded murder of their husbands.

[–]Mystery370 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That has to be made up

[–]OldEgalitarianMRA 30 points31 points32 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Used to be women were executed just like men. Think of the Salem Witch Trials.

But recently there has been a movement to help women avoid the death penalty. Not all women abuse the battered woman defense but if you read case law, and I have, it is pretty easy to gain this exemption as no proof is necessary.

It is, but that doesn't stop them using it to hurt men or allow women who hurt men to go free

Feminist and Professor Patricia O’brien made a similar argument.

“We should stop putting women in jail. For anything”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2014/11/06/we-should-stop-putting-women-in-jail-for-anything/

“Judges ordered to show more mercy on women criminals when deciding sentences”

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1311004/amp/Judges-ordered-mercy-women-criminals-deciding-sentences.html

Feminism seeking gender equality (except wanting to be advantaged in: criminal sentencing, job hiring, business ownership, family law, health care, domestic violence disputes, insurance, education, and pretty much everything else)

“Judges ordered to show more mercy on women criminals when deciding sentences”

But that's business as usual.

[–]63daddy 18 points19 points20 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Indeed. Having different standards for women is nothing new. Feminists arguing women should get free passes is nothing new.

The cruelty of suggesting good substitutes for prison only to the minority of inmates, is insane. Communal custody for non-violent offenders can be great.

[–]StreetDelivery449 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This psychotic person clearly doesn't watch a lot of true crime. Right before I read this post, I finished watching a case where a woman murdered a complete stranger and then proceeded to cut the 8 month fetus from her body and try to pass it off as her own. But yeah, SHE'S the victim right. Can you imagine being the parents of a son who was murdered by a woman and reading or hearing this absolute nonsense and how awful that must be?

[–]TextDependent6779 14 points15 points16 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

there are so many things wrong with that idea i don't even want to address them all.

i will however, address the idea of differences between male and female offenders. why are we supposed to care about these differences while society fails to acknowledge the differences between men and women in education?

[–]Logical-Tension 13 points14 points15 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh boy, imagine the amount of trouble that could be created by using this logic but switched the roles around so that this.

Women do of course commit homicide offences, but nearly always the victim is a relative and the crime was committed against the backdrop of an abusive relationship or depressive mindset. All homicides are heinous crimes but the types of homicides committed by women rarely involve random victims and hence do not engender community fear.

Becomes this

Women do of course commit end up as victims of homicide offences, but nearly always the victim is a relative and the crime was committed against the backdrop of an abusive relationship or depressive mindset. All homicides are heinous crimes but the types of homicides committed by where the victims are women rarely involve random victims and hence do not engender community fear.

Note: I do not support this logic in any way, I’m simply trying to make a point about how ridiculous the underlying reasoning is, by switching women’s role from perpetrator to victim.

Then if we train women assassins, murderers or false accusers .We can extort government's treasures and they can't jail them coz they're women./s

"Implementing these changes will not prejudice male offenders. In fact, it is likely that the opposite will occur. It will encourage a normatively sound and empirically grounded assessment of sentencing law and policy. This would result in a bifurcated sentencing system, whereby imprisonment was largely reserved for only serious sexual and violent offenders. This approach would greatly benefit the approximately 50% of male US and Australian inmates who are imprisoned for other types of crimes, such as drug and property offences"

Shes so close to the truth, prison is not necessary for MOST criminals, not just women. How delusional...

[–]Potato-with-guns 9 points10 points11 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

By her logic the most fair system would be to dissolve the government and hope that people make due when the roaming gangs of murders, cannibals, and generally mentally deranged individuals who were otherwise held in police custody come through their street.

[–]Angryasfk 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What would you suggest instead?

[+]Pepperclue_55 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

A system where trauma and lack of social skills are recognized as a barrier to normal functioning in a society. Rehabilitation, not time out

[–]Angryasfk 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh come on. I’ve known some very charming people who were almost compulsive thieves. One in particular had no issues getting work. He just wanted a bit more: never worked out for him. Although it certainly cost his victims.

This psychologist approach has been pushed off and on for decades, but doesn’t seem to improve things. For one thing, plenty have worked out how to game the system. And for another plenty of crimes are caused by people who either get their kicks out of it, or see it as an easy and quick way to get what they want.

This approach may work on some. But I doubt it’s a real solution to most cases of serious crime.

[–]ithriveintoxicity 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If we treated women’s crimes more fairly they’d be in prison for longer periods of time. But I say let them shoot themselves in the foot
