Now imagine that the rich kid claimed the poor kid had more rights than he did and that the poor kid was the cause of all of his problems. Now also imagine that when the poor kid addressed his run down footwear the rich kid drowned him out with insults of all sorts.

Yes, they are now equal. Whether that is a good thing is a separate question, as it is in the reproductive rights debate. In the rich/poor case, no, it's not good for the rich kid, although there could be positives, such as that he or she may learn a valuable life lesson. That's about the limit of the analogy. Is it a "win" for the poor kid? No. Why would it be?

The issue is that the 'rich kid' in this case was going around telling everyone that the 'poor kid' has more shoes (more rights) and we should spend money and efforts to raise the standard of the rich kid to poor kid's level by further denying shoes to the poor kid....

And this has been going on since last 50 years...

Finally, the father of the rich kid lost job and they are still blaming the poor kid for his job-loss...

That's is exactly what is happening.

Is it a win? Probably not.
Is it fair?

That's what this debate is all about.

Your example is completely wrong. You are comparing two wrong scenarios. You comparing apples with mangoes

In women and men scenario women want to be like men or have rights like they do.

But in the poor and rich kids case the rich kid does not want to be like poor kids

Is it a win for the poor kid? No, but I'm sure he's probably not mad that the rich kid got knocked down closer to his level either. It's not the equality that anybody wants, but it is still equality(not really).

Yeah, but that's not even true.

It's now a state's rights issue and it looks right now that abortion will remain legal in something like 1/2 of the states. And they will still be available in many of the other states, under more limited circumstances.

And Obamacare provides all female reproductive healthcare at no cost to the woman, it not only provides nothing for men, insurers are forbidden from providing male healthcare if they want to participate in the program. So if an insured man wants a vasectomy, he has to pay the entire price out of pocket.

And if a woman decides she does not want to parent, she can drop the newborn off at the nearest hospital or fire station no questions asked and with no paperwork.

We don't have anything like equal reproductive rights.

The dumbest example I had ever seen. These scenarios are completely different. This is an outcome of an event and thus the first kid is forced to be on the same level as the second one. Are they equal? In reality, they always were equal, just that one had more money than the other. Equal rights is not the same as equal opportunity.
