Hello, ladies ♡ This is my first time posting, although I have read many posts (albeit sporadically) since being introduced to this sub about a year ago. I very much relate to the perspective here as it appeals to my personality, values, beliefs, as well as my natural approach to life and relationships. That being said, I don't know much about the 'Red Pill' specifically. I also don't know enough consider myself a 'RPW'. If that matters, I understand if this isn't the appropriate place to post.

for prespective: My husband (33) and I (27) are recently married but we have been together six years, living together five years.

I'm a Psych Nurse. I work on an inpatient dual diagnosis unit in a behavioral health hospital. My patients all have substance use disorder and at least one coexisting mental health diagnosis. We also do detox on our unit.

I've worked on this particular unit for nearly a year and I have had a few negative experiences. Despite those I love my job, I'm good at it, and genuinely feel this is what I'm meant to do.

My husband is somewhat naturally protective and he works in law enforcement as well. I know he means well but I feel he's stuck on the negatives and not really considering my feelings or what I want to do. He sees potential danger and wants me to avoid it but I see so much more than that. He says I can work anywhere because I have a BSN, why stay in psych. I've told him why I like psych several times.

He thinks I'm trying to prove something because I don't look like ' a typical psych nurse'. I'm petite and younger than many of my coworkers. That's not the case.

I really love what I do. I've considered transferring to another unit or back to our outpatient/urgent care clinic. Although a patient tried to sexually assault me there (my coworkers quickly intervened and nothing happened).

I want him to be happy and at peace but I want to do what gives me purpose and interests me as well.
