Governor Ron DeSantis really appears to love his son. Why did he veto default 50/50 equal shared parenting?

He was pressured by N.O.W. and women's groups to veto it.

There was a whole article about it and feminists coming out and saying how the bill would "hurt families", which makes sense, since the man haters a) only care about money and power, b) hate men, c) hate families and marriage.

So why wouldn't they campaign to punish fathers and destroy families?

I support 50/50 parenting time because I am a feminist. Absent one parent being hooked on hard core drugs or criminally violent- 50/50 benefits everyone. It's what feminists want during marriage so it should be what we want in divorce!

At this point I don’t even make judgments by what bills are supported or not by individuals. Bills have so much in them that are “snuck” in so no one knows often politicians will sign or not based on these small entries.

He said it was because he thought it would invalidate alimony judgements already in place. A lame reason, but it does indicate it is still on the table with the right construction.
