Hey Fellas,

I'm divorcing the missus in the coming weeks. We're seeking mediation and it looks to end amicably with our intent being focused on our 2 year old and how we can provide the best life for her. But, it hurts. My ex needs to have someone to care for and I was that person when we first met. I was able to become a better person because, and for, her. Because I'm a people pleaser and I want to work hard and she was the person at that time for whom I worked hard. Now it'll be my daughter.

My ex is not a bad person. She may have hit me once and we did have arguments but she is not a bad person. We simply have different idealogy and the differences divided us to the point where we knew we would not be compatible in the future. I've no issue with this. It was better that we split, but it hits different on some days.

Today is a harder day because I'm sitting in my space of the house searching for apartments again and trying to figure out how I can manage financially with child support and my bills. I'm a Project Manager so I'll data the shit outta this so hard that even Brent Spiner would be proud. But the realization that I'm leaving the norm that I've hard for years, is hard. But, I know it's for the best. I'm excited for the future and what it holds and what I'm capable of. But, today is particularly hard.
