The point of the article is the differences in female to male judgment on TV appearance. It’s noting that there tend to be harsher standards in the body types and looks for women than for men, with some high lights to the dad bod or other similar aspects in history.

I think we should be careful here. I am as antifeminist as any of you, but we should be able to call out sexism when it happens to women as well as men.

We may not ever know the true reason for Lisa's dismissal, but if it was because her hair went grey, when they kept Lloyd Robertson on long after he went grey, then this can pretty clearly be seen as a case of sexism against women.

No one will take us seriously if we deny actual cases of sexism against women. We have enough instances of feminism making false claims of sexism that we don't need to attack the legit ones.

I'm 55. Never in my life was I attracted to or repelled by a woman's hair color. Can grey be sexy? Yes and no. It all depends on whose head that hair is growing from.

I guarantee you that men don't like getting old either.

I worked as a programmer, which is seen as the preserve of the young. I'm pretty much on the scrap heap. But you don't see me kvetching about it. There aren't national articles written about how I'm such a great programmer and can't get a job because of ageism.

I don't know much about the website. The mere fact that it calls itself "theconversation" tells you straight away where its political leanings lie.

I love how the article states:

And what's the source they provide? It's a piece of "research" which basically asked 80 women what they thought about how they were perceived for having grey hair. Seriously, that seems to be all they did. How on earth does this prove anything? They didn't even bother to ask any men how they thought they were perceived for having grey hair, so how can you possibly use this to claim that "women are subject to the greatest discrimination?"

Feminist "academia" is truly an inspiration. I don't now how these people find such creative ways to be retarded.
