So I commented the following.

Everytime I get a male mechanic he has no problem figuring out whats wrong with my car. But everytime I get a female she can't even open the hood....

[–]vwatchrepair[S] 36 points37 points38 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Epic. 😂 Now let's see the reactions.

[–]OriginalHuckleberry3 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Actually no responses yet.

[–]schmadimax 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

How about now?

[–]OriginalHuckleberry3 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wish. Naw. They just ignored it. Ha ha

I get such a kick out of how feminists reverse the dynamic going on. They claim men are pretending incompetence to get out of something, but as this story shows, it’s not men who are claiming they are incompetent, it’s women who are claiming the man is incompetent. Putting others down like this is a way to build oneself up and is a sign of insecurity.

[–]vwatchrepair[S] 27 points28 points29 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's also hilarious when you consider their wage gap myth.

So, men are greedy a**holes. But, men also hire men simply because penis, and the men employees aren't as good as women...which implies lower profits.

Make it make sense

[–]MexiReformist 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's exactly what's occurring with these Feminists.

[–]hokumjokum 36 points37 points38 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The first sentence of the article:

The concept of 'weaponized incompetence,' where people (usually hetrosexual, cisgender men) would pretend to not know how to do a task so that the other person can do it, is well-known on TikTok.”

Toxic garbage. I didn’t make it any further.

[–]ColonelVirus 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ah... Actually I did this all the time lol. I would deliberately do something wrong that I didn't want to do, or didn't like doing. Office work in teams kinda allows you to do that. It was generally boring repetitive shit XD.

[–]hokumjokum 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I’m sure we’ve all probably done it, but the bullshit term ‘ weaponised incompetence’ and mentioning (and blaming it on) heterosexual and cisgender men, all in the first sentence.. it’s some radical horseshit

[–]TanPat_1712 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same. I wanted to read further but could not.

[–]vwatchrepair[S] 27 points28 points29 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Another commenter...

"I get so mad when a man picks up my InstaCart order,"

A third commenter compared getting a male InstaCart driver to "pulling teeth."

[–]HotaruZoku 22 points23 points24 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Of course we have to be careful.

A man wandering around a place he isn't familiar or known has a habit if being assumed to have ill intent.

So it's "Call and be walked through a simple matter" Or "Don't call and be maced, beaten, and arrested for stalking, rape, or whatever else all men are always treated as planning."

But hey. Female privilege isn't a thing that matters.

[–]JcbAzPx 35 points36 points37 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm not even sure what the logic is here. Men are being deliberately bad at their job so they.... what? Don't get paid? It makes no sense.

At least the trope of being bad at chores to get out of them makes logical sense even if it isn't real.

[–]antifeminist3 34 points35 points36 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I doubt the truth of this. On male-female brain differences, men have slightly better spatial ability than women (it is not a big difference) Sounds more likely that this is a feminist pushing her 'narrative.'

[–]Extra-Strike2276 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's rather laughable because the cause is sexism. It's a way for the man to let others know why he is there because if you don't there might be consequences. There have been times where I've felt completely uncomfortable in certain areas, so I'll call the customer to let the people around know why I'm there without making it obvious. It's much safer to know you're going to the right place instead of going to the wrong one too. I've had some really close calls going to the wrong place, so I learned to call instead of taking that chance if there is any doubt.

[–]ppaelmo 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How bout this? Women suck at directions. 🤷🏽‍♂️

[–]pigcake101 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

How do people even jump to it being a problem of gender and not just a misunderstanding. The mental gymnastics are insane.

[–]Bletchlypark 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

msn still exists?

[–]DavidByron2 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well it's just institutional sponsored anti-male bigotry.

[–]his_purple_majesty 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Because there are more male outliers in terms of intelligence, you probably do get more men who are incapable of following simple instructions. Of course thinking it's all men is just confirmation bias. The thing is, you also get more men able to solve complex equations.

[–]vwatchrepair[S] 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

"Listen, I hate to say it because I know I'm a woman and all," she begins. "But every time I get a Door Dash woman, she has no problem figuring it out getting into my apartment and dropping it right off at my door. Bless her heart. I've given her an extra tip for that."

However, Ally claims men always have a little more trouble figuring out how to drop off her order.

"But I'm telling you, every time I have a man dropping my food off it's all, [imitates talking on the phone] 'Okay, yes, sir. So first you have just go into the- okay, you're gonna see an elevator right in front of you...'" she says.

"And a woman can just..." she adds, pointing to the door.

[–]ccosby 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I kinda don't believe that any of the door dash drivers get it right. Around me you have like a 30% chance of getting a drink you ordered and seemly all of the door dash drivers link to place the food bag right in front of the storm door meaning you have to let the door smash the bag some to open it far enough to grab the stuff. My front covered porch extends out like 12 or 15 feet in front of the door too.

[–]Cbd_7ohm 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Coincidentally if you live in a house you can probably go around the side but if you're at an apartment it generally doesn't matter because the doors swing inward usually.

[–]dzkrf 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Doordash is still around?

[–]TFME1 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I've known both women and men, in relatively equal measure, to have used the "incapable/incompetent" excuse to transfer/foist unpleasant work on someone else's to do list.

With the meteoric rise in all the "syndromes", the unrealistic need to be "transparent and authentic" 24x7 (which literally NO ONE has) and all the shaming (toxic masculinity, right?) for those who refuse to make (or take) excuses (at least, until the bandwagon ran them over), the actual pool of willing workers will dry up or they'll demand crazy high salaries to endure the higher-than-average bs level implemented by wokester's and HR morons.

[–]rm-rd 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you expect someone to deliver your food for $2, you can't expect them to mess around looking for your apartment if it's hard to find.

[–]treeerty 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

When I have a male surgeon I know I’m in good hands but I have only had issues and repercussions with female surgeons, weaponised incompetence and definitely not coincidence based on a small number of encounters

[–]genuine_troglodyte 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Im ngl it shouldnt be surprising that this is the case since there are significantly more men doing delivery driving so of course most mistakes you see are from men😑

[–]blackakainu 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Comical

[–]PonderingMan33 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Isn't it sexist if women don't like men getting them grocery and food. Does it mean women subconsciously think other women are better at house work stuff??

[–]vwatchrepair[S] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

lol. Good eye. Yeah, if a man dare says a woman is better at something related to being subservient, it's sexist. Flip it, and the man is still the bad guy. Double standards as usual.

[–]Night_wick 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Went to the tiktok comments bros, they hate our gender there, concerning

[–]RandoCalrissian81 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

These people talk about cisgender white men the same way Nazis talk about Jewish people.

[–]bottleblank 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Perhaps the men are just nervous they're going to have a naked woman open the door for a prank, and then accuse them of ogling said woman (or worse).
