All that and she got less than four years, the UK justice system is a two tier affair now, officially iron fisted to men and kid gloves for women.

[–]BalloonPilotDude 66 points67 points68 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The reality is actually worse. First, she will never serve that long. She’ll be out after half that time, tops.

Second, Read the judges statement. They didn’t send her to jail for lying and ruining her child’s fathers life. They sent her to jail for wasting public funds and causing harm to his mother and underage brother.

They could care less what happens to him. They don’t even bother to mention how she got the child back after abandoning her on his mothers doorstep or how custody will go. You can bet they could care less if he ever gets her back.

[–][deleted] 35 points36 points37 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The uk has officially done everything it can to prevent women from being put in prison. They have actively told judges to be lenient on women, or fear losing there jobs.

It's getting that same way in the usa. We essentially have brainwashed society that men are inherently evil, and when women commit evil acts...it's the fault of a man.

[–]TRexDale08 15 points16 points17 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He only admitted to assaulting her once towards the end of their relationship. All the other times were lies by a psycho woman.

[+]TRexDale08 -20 points-19 points-18 points 3 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

When he admitted to assaulting her, he was fined 100 pounds. That doesn’t exactly seem iron fisted. I’m all for fair punishments but that’s a pretty light punishment for pleading guilty to assault.

Edit: are we downvoting because assault should be 50 to 75 pounds at most?

[–]KochiraJin 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Assault is actually a pretty minor crime as no physical contact is made. You are probably confusing it with battery. Menacing someone with your fists and saying you'll punch their lights out would be assault and following through with that threat would be battery. It's a pretty common mistake to make as the legal definition isn't the same as the common one.

[+]arcasul -131 points-130 points-129 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Look, i understand you, but in the end she didn’t kill anyone, she told a bunch of lies. I think is enough. I wouldn’t immagine someone in jail for 10 years just for saying lies. I think is a good and pretty long period of time when she will not be able to harm anyone.

[–][deleted] 83 points84 points85 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

She didn't just "tell lies". She ruined a man's life.

[+]arcasul -69 points-68 points-67 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Of course. But i am referring to the fact that she didn’t kill someone, to ask a higher period in jail. I think 4 years is good enough, maybe she will understand what she did

[–]musingcomet 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And if one of those guns pointed in his direction during that arrest had gone off and he was killed, I wonder what you would be saying then.

"Things went too far." or "It was an accident"?

She waged a campaign to destroy someone because she could. That kind of deliberate, strategic, repeated misuse of power should attract a significantly longer prison term.

edit: grammar

[–]xToasted1 42 points43 points44 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

So if a woman raped a man its fine to give her a short sentence because she didn't kill him?

[–]arcasul1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Yes. The worst is killing, all the others should be punished less than that.

[–]AnEnemyStand99 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I would rather be killed than forced to live in constant fear and torment. This guy only pulled through because he had a kid and couldn't die. It almost would have been more merciful had she just walked up to him with a gun and pulled the trigger.

[–]xToasted1 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What's the right sentence for the crime of raping a man then, according to you?

[–]duhhhh 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

5-7 years of his income to support his child? /s

[–]13rokendreamer 36 points37 points38 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Clungesnitzel95 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah well what if he did kill himself. This lady should have been sent to prison for at least 10 years and zero chance of early release.

[–]Notdeadsleepy 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fuck that give her 30 years wtf are you talking about you psycho

[–]pauliepablo2 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wow. I could not finish the article... Brought me flashbacks. The severity of my ex's attacks did not reach these heights but close enough. I was arrested multiple times by armed cops accused of abusing my own daughter- our kid. The lurid accusations were so outrageous and she even said she had audio recordings and videos of me commiting the crimes. She failed to produce any evidence and that's when she disappeared from the radar. I was still being questioned and harassed. Even when the charges were dropped when she abandoned the case in criminal court, she went to a new district just to mess with me and start over. Then family courts. For 15 and a half years I was in a living hell and trying to connect with my kid. In all that time I stopped seeing her due to the severity of the constant accusations. I fell into a horrible depression and I planned my suicide to rid my family of this constant traumatic episodes... Then life had other plans. I started to have horrible pains and soon found out I had cancer. Ironic, no need to kill myself. But I pulled out with great doctors and a bit of luck. While I'm therapy my sister could communicate with my kid, by now a teenager. After recovery I met my kid. She told me she had been in therapy all those year due to my supposed abuse but the therapists pointed out the abuser was her mom. My daughter told me her mother would hit her so hard that she didn't send her to school after beatings so the teachers wouldn't call the cops. My kid is severely traumatized and today we have a purely economical relationship. She needs money, I provide it. Her mom has two other kids. Another girl who is ill all the time and spends her life witj shrinks. Also a son who committed suicide last year. My ex is a monster. I totally understand this guy's ordeal.

Jesus man, what a psycho

[–]Relevant_Cook_5184 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I’m really sorry you had to experience that brother 🥲.

[–]Mavgrim 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I guess I have to make the best of what I got in life. I feel responsible since I saw early signs of her lunacy and I let it go. I know, nobody deserves shit like this but if I keep blaming destiny, my ex, or the bias of the judicial system, I will never have peace of mind. I moved on. Maybe my experience helps someone, I'm open to talk to anyone going though this since I went through all of this practically on my own and it would have helped to have someone to talk to. Today I run my own business and I'm doing alrite. I have a great wife- who hates feminist BS- and a young daughter who gives us lots of strength and hope for her future. Even my family turned their backs on me, believing in my innocence, because it was too complicated. My message? Be strong, keep doing the right thing, but if you must, move on. Believe in your quota of responsibility in this mess or you will never find closure. Your best move? Work hard, become successful on your own terms- whatever that means in your particular case- believe you can be happy. Sounds like cheap self-help stuff but that's my experience.

[–]MuchAndMore 118 points119 points120 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

She deserves more time. I also find it funny how they talk more about wasting police time and resources and how it affected his mother than you know, him.

So so so tired of this. Feminism created this shit and any women who can't see that I seriously don't want to associate at all with anymore. Dating under 40 is rough. A lot of them think men need to be subservient to them. They arrested this guy multiple times without any evidence just on her word.

False allegations are rare my ass.

Blasphemy.

[–]Mother-Key582 21 points22 points23 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Like I said, I don’t know how any dude nowadays is willingly that desperate for a woman especially in the UK. It couldn’t be farther from worth it unless it’s a super rare case of “she actually has guys backs and will fight for us to the absolute death.” If I were on the “justice” system, let me tell you, I wouldn’t be playing any games. None of this “wasted police time” garbage. I would yell at whoever says that shit and lock that CUNT up like she deserves.

[–]The_Bearded_Cyclist 64 points65 points66 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She is an absolute monster. That poor poor man, he really did suffer at her hands.

[–]Magical-Hummus 50 points51 points52 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

No punishment for the judge and police. Not even 4 full years for the liar.

[+]TRexDale08 -30 points-29 points-28 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

What do you think the judge and police did wrong?

[–][deleted] 31 points32 points33 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Believing her.

[+]TRexDale08 -16 points-15 points-14 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

He’s admitted to assaulting her previously and she reported he showed up at her house with a a gun and she even doctored fake threatening text messages.

I really think the police can’t just ignore that and approach this character without precautions.

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Police doesn't have to ignore the reports. They can start an investigation.

she even doctored fake threatening text messages

She doctored a screenshot, which is easy to do. Screenshots should not be trusted.

[–]Cookiedoughjunkie 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

exactly, they had his phone and records to immediately prove she was lying and didn't.

[–]Magical-Hummus 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Not properly investigating and being more so too happy to jail a minor. You don't want to know what happens to people that a deemed as rapists in a prison.

[–]TRexDale08 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

But don’t you have to arrest people before the trial? Isn’t that how it works?

[–]Magical-Hummus 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You question the suspect the first time. Then you investigate, try to find proof. Besides there is a difference between sitting at home and being arrested compared to actually being caught abusing somebody or if there were witnesses. But you cannot tell me the police did something right by arresting all the time instead of just looking into it further after the first or second time. This would make anybody crazy. It is torture, let alone in this specific scenario, life-threatening for the actual victim.

[–]Cookiedoughjunkie 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Really? they had all the evidence Barr lied from day one and yet didn't do their own due diligence before continuing to allow Barr to harass him for 4 years with these false accusations.

And that assault? Look at other sources, he 'assaulted' her after she assaulted him but the cops only cared that he fought back, not that she attacked him.

[–]eldred2 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Jailing him on her word alone.

Men Going Their Own Way - It's a group of people who have signed onto the idea that marriage (the contract with the state) in its current form isn't worth the risk for men.

[–]SharpUni 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I though that at this point that was just common sense

[–]Aimless-Nomad 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Basically living a life solo. You can call it whatever you want, eternal bachelor, single forever. MGTOW is a manosphere term that stands for men going their own way. But then again, the title isn't important, just the lifestyle.

[–]EvidencePlz 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It doesn't have to be entirely solo though. No marriage, no emotional/romantic relationship, no cohabitation, no children, no simping of any kind, but I still get to enjoy high-libido women whenever I want thanks to the UK law that legalized prostitution. I've slept with countless women here and they never gave me any trouble. Plus they are trained professionals, really good at fetishes and leave me alone once I'm done and until the next time I wanna see them again. It would be a tragic, lonely and sexless life for me if I were in USA where prostitution is illegal everywhere except Nevada.

[–]Aimless-Nomad 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ya basically keeping yourself away from the gynocentric slaughter house. Everything else is upto that individual.

[–]Dembil 10 points11 points12 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Gentlemen, take a look at the picture of that woman, if she wears an inch long eyelashes and airbrushes the fuck out of her selfies, run.

A classic Narcissist. He is lucky that he doesn't live in Australia. Women like this usually get away with it here. The family courts here are clogged by cases like this.

[–]xsplizzle 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

She would have gotten away with it here too if she stopped after like the 10th time she got him falsely arrested

feminism

this

[–]Acousmetre78 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My mom sexually abused me as a child for years. She would take me to the bathroom and masturbate in front of me then touch me. My family knew. My cousins new. Their adult friends knew.

Everyone wanted to protect my mom because she was half paralyzed. They felt sad for her. When I tried to tell someone my dad beat me up badly. My sister used to help hold me down while mom touched me. Today, my sister had used my story to market herself and make money.

They said I was a boy and all boys like sex.

So why did all these adults outside the family not care. I even told a college professor when I was older.

Because of third wage feminism, any time I tried to talk about my mom or sister I was labeled a misogynist.

[–]kamyarni 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And they always bring up rape news in india to prove men are evil!

They do the same thing but no one accuse them!

We gain freedom from slavery after women, we still are main victims of wars, we still must maintain their needs but we don't have any rights, even after turned out they cheated on us and the kids are not from us, we have to pay for them because they are allowed to lie!

[–]Eastwood96 21 points22 points23 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

It's not her fault, guys. She was probably abused as a kid. 😭😭😭😭

[–]princeap5761 points 3 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

That’s precisely the lie that society has gaslit every man to believe.

[–]Eastwood96 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

...And judge, juror, lawyer, etc.

[–]KochiraJin 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It probably is true as that's a common trait of men in prison. Not that it absolves any of them from responsibility for their actions.

[+]13rokendreamer -26 points-25 points-24 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

The real monster is her father here, who gave her trauma.

[–]Eastwood96 22 points23 points24 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Of course! Every male is to blame, ya know!

[–]Drakethepirate1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

If men had to take the blame for women's action then you are just assuming women have no rights to choose for themselves and that men should have authority over women. Is this what you really think?

[–]13rokendreamer -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Hey you are telling a woman can be wrong???

Don't you know women both morphologically and anatomically cannot be wrong.

[–]Cookiedoughjunkie 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I like how 18+ people can't see the sarcasm.

[–]13rokendreamer -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Normal-Yogurtcloset5 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And, after all of that, she still got off with a light sentence.

[–]eldred2 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

And once again, they try to make her more sympathetic by call a violent woman "mum."

Edit: I see they changed the headline. Maybe some noticed they were being asses.

[–]az226 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And they kept referring to the victim as “the ex-boyfriend”.

[–]tragedyfish 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why all the glamor shots? We only want the mugshot, please.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We need to voice our concerns to the police, way today times have men had their work, repuatuation and relations with other ruined by women with no evidence. Imagine the police response if a woman wouldve been chasing a man with a knife or a gun not the same.

[–]waffleso_0 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This article was hard to read due to the way it was written. I'm not sure about anyone else but I feel like it poorly written

[–]Frequent-throwAway 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

These stories, wow. I feel for all the men here with custody and or other issues.

Me personally, it took 2 attorneys in my situation, to tag team attack and defend legally. Now I got the kid and enough peace and space to raise my kid and live a happy life. Cost me a lot, but the lies got torn up and thrown away. I'm free.

[–]MaiaTai27 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

At what point is this going to change? We need to return the requirement for evidence and proof not go on hearsay
