Yup. I found that having money is the great perspective changer on dating and gives you freedom.

3 years ago, I was making $50k a year, and I was deeply into purplepilldebate discussions. I spent a lot of time dating as an average guy, had a couple of LTRs and a handful of hookups but was upset and pretty miserable at the dating scene as my self worth was tied to that

Then, I got a great job that pays ~ $300k a year. The money is life changing. Life is so much better now, I can travel the world and all the dating woes seem way less important. I’m happy in my current LTR and enjoy visiting new places and exploring, hiking, camping with my GF. Even if this falls through, I’m sure I’ll be fine as there’s so much more to life and places to visit.

So yeah, I think a lot of the dating conversations and frustrations are tied to not having money. Disposable income truly gives you freedom and makes one more content.

Try actually debating anything with people here and you l realize half of em are trolls that like shitposting and not having an actual honest conversation.

The radfems tend to be dismissive and offer one paragraph replies to big ass essays that boils down to "i dont care about your suffering". The rad incels tend to misconstrue any argument into a personal attack and tend to be very fear minded and hateful.

The sane people in between the two extremes that just want people to get along will get hit from both sides, so they end up getting shut down. So everyone tends to push their hateful, sexist and dogshit agenda instead of actuslly seeking to learn and share knowledge. Which afaik is the purpose of any discussion.

Watch me get downvoted by both sides bcz they took it personally.

I just find the disconnect between the internet and real life fascinating.

All this discourse online... but in person the vast majority of my friends have never heard of the pills and well, people just date like normal with only mild complaints here and there. Most are in long term relationships.

It's honestly the most intriguing thing to me. The world these people discuss looks nothing like the world I live in. Men aren't sad and lonely, women aren't desired by everyone. Average men sometimes cheat, pretty women complain about being single or cry over losers, there's no enormous gap between the genders.

Probably not. I originated from probably one of the first incels forums long ago, and I've seen a lot of the same arguments (though I'll admit that seeing women enter these "dating debate spaces" and hearing the arguments from women after only seeing arguments from other dudes for so long is quite enlightening) just repurposed over and over again.

Most men who are angry about either being a virgin/incel or angry about the red pill will eventually just come to accept their place in life and move on. I'd argue most of these posts are just ways for men to vent at the end of the day.

You'll be seeing the same arguments in a few years from now from younger men, who are just angry at either women or society, and the cycle will repeat from there.

Tbh I feel like it’s only repetitive on this board or other similar sub-subreddit lmao.

In non-Reddit places, things seems a lot more fluid and realistic to today’s culture. (So it might just be a Reddit demographic thing).

I’ve noticed that younger Millennials and zoomers (like myself) tend to be much more dynamic and pragmatic about the dating market. Meanwhile older folks like a lot of the people on forums like this tend to be either bluepilled or redpilled to an unshakable degree lol)

I feel like I’ve never encountered any of the terms that are thrown about on this sub in the real world. Not that it doesn’t exist in the real world, but my social status and the people I encounter don’t fit any of these examples.

I know what my particular issues are with dating, but this sub doesn’t really have any examples of it and in my particular case it’s simply ends with go see a shrink.
