I'm a bit of a jerk online and say whatever the hell I want sometimes making jokes but generally speaking my truth...But seeing so many different perspectives and view points online I've just come to accept people are going to have different ideas about everything .

For example there are things I would never say irl anymore not because I'm ashamed of my views but because the responses I've gotten online have taught me that it will just cause arguments and strife.

Also I find myself intervening when other people make certain comments because I've seen other perspectives and I've learned that it can really adversely affect someone.

The other day I was talking to a guy who said women should not be allowed to do a particular job he projected it at a woman and started calling her lazy and says she complains to much. There was a time when I would have laughed along maybe agreed but I thought about all the post I've read about toxic men etc...

So all I said was that was rude and any one who's qualified should do the job.

Most of the male spaces have been purged but I wonder if the feed back was actually benneficial and its not the same as just having a one sided men are bad narrative it's yin and yang we need both perspectives and good counter arguments.
