I have yet to negotiate the exact asset division with my STBXW (she's buying me out of the house), but I'm curious how RSUs are handled. I called the trading company that manages them, and they said if she opens an account, they can simply transfer whatever # of shares and vested RSUs to her that we agree on.

Where I'm confused is how unvested shares are handled. The company said once they vest, I can still transfer them to her. But obviously when they do vest I'm paying taxes on the vesting shares as income. So would I take x% of the tax and then reduce the number of shares I transfer to her based on that, or have her pay me for x% of the tax? How was this handled for anyone who went through a similar situation with RSUs. I was happy to hear any RSUs given post-separation are 100% mine, was expecting to have to split those like I do with salary+bonuses for alimony.
