How is it a joke to push someone off like that? Its one thing to say push someone into a pool, its another off a balcony.

More articles here. I do think that if the genders were reversed this would not be written off as a joke without further investigation. I also doubt that Brown would be "sending best thoughts to" both of them if it were the other way around.

At the best she is monumentally stupid, but since I find it hard to believe that anyone pushes some off a balcony 'as a joke', this sounds like attempted murder to me.

But she's a woman, so nobody will suspect of her anything~

The article is unreliable when it comes to the specifics of the incident.

All that can be accurately surmised is that a woman shoved her husband as a prank of sorts and that it resulted in him going over the edge of the balcony.

Since the article doesn't mention any faults with the railing, or safety issues of the theater, it can be surmised that the safety precautions in place were of adequate construction to normally prevent this sort of thing.

Which basically leaves a cause and effect scenario where a normal patron's life was put in jeopardy by an assailant's actions. Only his reflexes saved him from near certain death, and assured injury.

In the end, I think this might be better left as a private matter due to the uncertain nature of the event, unless there is any evidence that this sort of thing is a regular event in the relationship.

I'd say the same thing if the genders were reversed. This is because the event is so ambiguous as to invite speculation where we really can't make any definitive judgments.

I would like it if the man was separated from the wife for questioning, regardless, and asked if he suspected any wrong-doing... And regardless of his response.. this matter should be put down somewhere.. written down so that if anything suspicious happens in the future, she won't escape the extra scrutiny this even demands if anything suspicious should befall the husband.

I think that sort of file should exist when it comes to matters like this. Too bad it wouldn't be used properly.

If this story's true, the woman should be charged. From my limited legal understanding its not up to the husband. You can't "legally" give people permission to attempt to murder you or cause grievious bodily harm. The fact this is passed off in the media, and by the magician, "as a joke", should show everyone the real "spell power" females have on people's minds and perception faculties.
